Completely honest review here.
If you’re considering a total gym, if you want a unaffiliated brutally honest review, if you’re like me and research a product and read every review possible, this is for you.I am in no way affiliated with this company. I research something I’m interested in until there is literally nothing more to know. I’m just a person who was dying for a solid workout again. I, like many others haven’t been able to go to the gym for the past 2 and half months due to the lock down. We have a good home gym to start ( treadmill, Olympic bar, weight plates, kettle bells, dumbbells, etc.) but I needed something to really help with a total body workout to complete our gym. So I started looking for that final piece. I’m not a fan of bow flex so I didnt even go there. I had my eyes set on a total gym fit, but the $1600 price tag at this time was just not logical for me. My search continued. I did see the Gr8flex on amazon a few times but didnt even give it a chance and immediately scrolled past it because I am probably one of the few people who HATE the color gold. It just looked tacky to me. However, I came back, took a look at it and read every single review for every model, researched it on the net and YouTube, and compared the gr8flex to the fit. They are almost identical but with gr8flex being superior. It has more resistance levels, which is huge for me because if I’m going to spend the money on something like this, I dont want to outgrow it and have to replace it in a year or two. I want the best. It also comes with almost every attachment I wanted....(gr8flex, please make a Pilates toe bar!!!) it comes with a lifetime warranty on every part, and it cost $1,000 less than the fit. I decided to go for it and order the Pearl and gold model and anxiously waited for it to be delivered. My husband was at work when it was delivered. I was too excited to try it out and have a good workout again, so I set it up myself. It doesn’t come with instructions, but like many other reviews stated, the instructions are on their website as well as a video on YouTube. It was really easy to set up alone. This thing is SOLID. Its heavy, but thats a good thing, for me as it can hold more weight and I have a higher level of security on it. It is a lot bigger when folded out than I thought, but another plus because I dont feel constricted and have a huge range of motion (I’m 5’8”). It folds up easily as well. We have a decent sized condo with a huge balcony and use this gym outside, fold it up, and bring it inside to store in a corner so it doesn’t rust in the Florida weather. Its really easy to move around even with how heavy it is.Ive had only 4 days now and I’m in love. The options of moves and workouts are almost unlimited. I wish this had a weight bar like the total gym, BUT, it does have 50 pounds of resistance bands and if you get creative you can add even more weight. I use my pull up bands, leg bands, kettle bells, weight plates, and dumbbells for added weight and resistance for my leg workouts. Ive been an avid gym goer for the past 7 years and this gym is shockingly amazing. I honestly didnt think I would get a GREAT workout with it like I do at the gym, but I was completely wrong. Ive worked muscles that I haven’t worked in a long time, and muscles that ive somehow never worked before. I love the fact you use your core in almost every move. I thought I’d have to start at a high level with my experience, but nope, I was put into my place quickly with this machine and had to start on lower to mid levels for upper body! I can go to 15 with legs but that’s my strong point and I want to focus on upper body. This delivers. I absolutely love it!Back to the color....if you happen to be like me and DESPISE the color gold, dont let this factor into your decision because its actually really beautiful in person. I LOVE white, I wish they would make an all white color one day, a more neutral color, or even give an option on selecting a frame and board color. However, it looks amazing and even with my hatred of gold, I love it!The attachments are great and are super easy to install and take off. The ez curl bar, and pull up attachments are my absolute favorite. I’m still trying to learn and research moves for the leg attachment, but I am able to do a few Pilates moves that really work the core. The ab attachment is awesome as well. My abs haven’t been this sore in years after using it once. To sum it up, all of the attachments are solid, and will provide countless moves if you get creative enough. My husband was skeptical when I told him I ordered this, but after working out on it himself, he changed his mind and is really blown away on the quality of it, and the workout you are able to get from it. He is 6’2” and 225 and has no issue whatsoever with this machine. He has plenty of room working out on it.I read reviews with people having problems and reaching out to customer service with no response or resolution, I just dont believe those reviews. I did have a few issues with it (manufacturing problems) but an email to the seller was quickly answered and resolved all my problems. Customer service is huge for me, so they got major bonus points as a whole on how well and fast my problems were resolved. I immediately started sending pictures of the gym to friends and family recommending it if they are looking for a home gym. This is it. I personally, would much rather support a small business and help them grow, rather than to fill the pockets of a huge company who doesn’t really care about customer service ( a quick chat session with TG told me everything I need to know about them). I have a little background in manufacturing so I do understand that MOST products everyone purchases on a daily basis all come from the same manufacturer's in China (I have no idea if this gym does and am not implying that), but you pay different amounts, for a name and label. TG charges $1,000 more for a machine that is similar but less than the gr8flex, all for a name and celebrity endorsement. Like I said, when you compare this gr8flex gym to the fit, the gr8flex is superior in every way. This piece of equipment is SOLID and well built. Its not cheap in build or aesthetics. I already have recommended this to people, and will continue to do so. I dont see the need of having to replace it anytime soon, but if I had to purchase a new one, I definitely would. My husband and I love it so much, we just canceled our gym membership. I do love the actual gym, but we now have everything we need for a complete and solid workout at home. What’s better than having a gym quality workout inside/outside your home, not having to drive or worry about what to wear? Getting fresh air and hearing the ocean doesn’t hurt either. So, if you’re considering this machine, the TG, or something similar, dont even think about it, buy this!! I promise you will not regret it!

Excellent Gym
After much review of the Total Gym vs. GR8Flex I decided to purchase this home gym to supplement my treadmill, recumbent bike, and free weights. Although hundreds of dollars less than the Total Gym, the GR8Flex is not a cheap Total Gym knockoff. It is well built, sturdy, easy to use and setup. It extends out about 6 feet, but it's easy to store upright once you learn how to do it. There are plenty videos online showing how to perform the exercises and the manual includes pictures of the exercises too. In particular, there is a fellow on YouTube called the "Sliding Bench Trainer" that has several training videos that help in my workout. I can get a total body workout in about 30 minutes. Unlike the Total Gym it includes 5 attachments, resistance bands and a cell phone stand. I've had the GR8Flex for a couple of weeks now and have yet to determine a downside of my purchase. I highly recommend the GR8Flex.

HUGE VALUE AND LIFETIME WARRANTY!!
The assembly would have been easier had there been more detailed instructions and the video used is too quick and not close up or detailed enough to see the parts and how they are assembled. I am mechanically inclined, and after careful and repeated reviews on manual and videos, I figured it out well enough. Most users will be frustrated with assembly. It has to do more with where the items attach and routing of cables, and how the pull knobs on the upright are positioned. Overall, there's not much to assemble, but it could be much better in detail and close-up views. The overall machine is of very good quality. I feel I got a great value for this machine especially after considering paying for a competitor that is double the cost and not half the accessories this unit has. I am very pleased with my purchase!!!There were only 2 issues I had. 1) Missing safety pin for upright. Contacted Gr8flex, they responded quickly and they are sending replacement. 2) The threaded hole in the upright frame where the cell phone holder stud screws in was stripped. A small wrench was supplied to tighten the stud, but I didn't have to use it since as I was screwing it in by hand, it just kept turning, and I could not get it to tighten. I believe the threads were stripped already. Anyway, this is not a deal-breaker by any means. I put a bit of thread-lock on it and it is fine now. All I have to do is take the cell phone holder off the threaded stud when collapsing the unit for storage.I love this machine, and it has a LIFETIME WARRANTY! This is huge, and it shows they stand behind their product and proves it is quality.
