Great value
I work in battery R&D and purchased this for work with my account using the p-card I was given by my manager. My company has sites around the globe, so we do a lot of video calls. One our labs that I work in is used for constructing 2 volt batteries- handling lead and sulfuric acid. Bringing laptops into that lab is out of the question as it could expose them to lead and lead oxide dust that we would then bring out of the lab as contamination and possibly bring home to our families. I have this cable set up through the ceiling tiles to connect to my laptop in another room, and allow me to use a webcam (mounted on a tripod) and a bluetooth headset to communicate while working in that lab and still eliminate any risk of bringing lead out of the room. It works great. No loss of picture quality, and it's long enough to be able to go from the next room over and still allow the camera to be placed anywhere within the assembly lab.

No problems
I've been using this cable for at least 6 months now, and my experience has been that it works as advertised. I have a powered USB hub at the other end with various input devices and at times an external blu-ray drive, and I haven't had any problems with speed or reliability - except the one time I zapped my mouse with a crazy static shock, but it came back online after a second.I would prefer an extender that uses standard Cat5 cable, but the only options I see for those cost many times as much as this cable. I've tried several USB 1.1 over Cat5 extensions for about the same price, and even the best of those were less reliable - and, obviously, slower - than this cable.

Works like a champ for extended webcam connection
Purchased this cable to extend the reach of a webcam (Logitech C910) to be able to mount on a wall. I have this cable plugged in to my powered USB hub, which in turn plugs directly into my computer, and my webcam works like a champ about 20+ feet away. Chose this cable over cheaper and unknown-branded ones due to multiple reviews of the others indicating poor quality trends...glad I swung for a few extra bucks for this one.

Works
Works well with Meeting Owl. That's what we needed it for.

Nice idea, but . . . ?
USB video has a limitation in the distance it can go. While these cables worked probably as best they can, video over USB is not meant to go that distance without quality degradation.

Stopped Working - No Apparent Reason
This worked flawlessly for a while, then just stopped. For some reason, the computer would no longer recognize whatever the extension was plugged into. Since this is an "active" repeater cable, I have to believe the "active" portion died.I never abused the cable, so I know it wasn't damaged. I inspected the cable to be sure it wasn't damaged.Because it doesn't work at all, I can only give it one star. I won't be buying this brand to replace it.

Connects 1080P webcam to universal docking station with no issues
I used this as an extension cord to connect the 1080P Webcam from "Jelly Comb" (which has a 6ft built-in USB 2.0 cable) to the USB 3.0 / USB C Universal Docking Station from "Plugable," and I have had no issues with functionality so far :)
