Nice but small
Love these...one problem, they are small small small.

👍👍
Burn longer and less caustic than the original paraffin candles that are inside of the lantern when you first buy it. Definitely last longer. I love the smell inside of my tent.

Smell amazing. Actually real beeswax
These things smell amazing. This coming from a guy who will leave a house if they have glade plug ins or not hug someone who uses strongly scented laundry soap. I hate artificial smells. These smell natural and pleasant. They do not claim to be nor are they decorative. I very glad I bought these first though so I could learn how real beeswax smells and feels. I tried to get some beeswax votives from a different seller and had to send them back because the votives turned out to be expensive yellow tinted paraffin. If I can't get a different shape from this same maker, I'll buy these exact ones again.

Great clean burning
They burn clean and has no smell really. Only thing I see wrong is the burn time. I haven’t been able to get 12 hours. But usually get about 10-10 1/2 out of them.

Used one candle for an entire 12 day adventure
Definitely not worth it burning the candle at both ends. Used each night in the screen house along with the UCO candle lantern, for varying times each night while winding down after a long day playing a few rounds of cards. We ordered a three pack with the intention to burn them down during the adventures of glamping out in the not so wild. The candles burned leaving behind a semi sweet aroma in their wake. Highly recommend having the set saving battery time and for emergency preps. I had one of the lanterns when they first came out, but unfortunately a family member thought it best if they took it for their personal use without permission... was and still is a great alternative to an oil burning hurricane lantern and the batteries in the flashlight wasted.

Perfect for Mini Candle Lantern
First: Yes, they are really very expensive for candles. These fit into UCO (or similar) breakdown candle lanterns. The lanterns usually come with paraffin candles, which are great and last a long time. These replacement candles are made from beeswax, however. They do last considerably longer than the paraffin versions. What I really like about them, however, is that they give off a really pleasing, mild scent as they burn. I use these when I'm illuminating the inside of my tent or cabin rather than the other ones. I also appreciate that they are a natural resource. The quality is high, and they burn very evenly and as long as advertised. My experience is that the wicks on these have been self-trimming and have never broken off between uses. These seem to have held up well in the hot environments of the desert, my enclosed gear box, and the interior of my truck, never melting to the point of being misshapen. But the cost, you say? Well, yeah. For me, it's a value proposition: I enjoy and prefer the gentle glow of candlelight when I'm camping or backpacking, over the bright light and hiss of my white-gas-driven light whenever I can help it. They do last a good, long while, too, and I figure that the per-hour cost of these set me back a little over a quarter. That, and the fact that they cost only a little more than the paraffin version for an emergency/camping light that will never run out of batteries or suffer a broken mantle make them well worth it for me. That, and the fact that there is nothing that smells quite like a burning beeswax candle. Besides, I go through these so slowly that I don't have to buy them that often.Five stars for a high quality, well-made product that lasts.

Expensive and the beeswax candles don’t fit lantern
I love being able to get beeswax candles for the UCO lantern. It’s the only kind we can burn with a parrot in our midst. AND it’s recommended for Believers of Christ during the days of darkness to come.Only problem is that NONE OF THEM FIT IN THE CANDLE HOLDERS CORRECTLY.THEY CANNOT FEED UP. THE WICKS GO OUT BECAUSE THEY ARE BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE HOLDERS.It appears to be a QA issue. The beeswax candles are bigger around than the white ones that come with the lantern. Their tips can’t reach out to get oxygen. I’ve tried trimming them down. What a waste and mess!Going to see how they fare in a candle holder.Come on UCO! These guys are very expensive!

Great on paper, except when it's not...
I really want to love these candles for my UCO lantern, but with much time I've had to face the facts: these beeswax candles are not a good fit for the candle lantern they're made for. They're somehow messier than the standard paraffin version, and while I like to collect the spare wax for various crafts, I'm getting increasingly tired of having to pick it out of the spring, nooks & crannies, and having to scrape it off the inside of the candle sheath. On top of that fact, these candles' wicks don't seem to be as centered as the paraffin ones, which results in uneven heating of the glass. I find this out the easy way every time the candle randomly goes out partway through (even with the chimney up), and I found it out the hard way when I woke up one morning to one side of a handmade lampshade blackened from the mismanaged heat distribution...I'm sure these will burn fine elsewhere, so I still intend to use them. However, if you're looking to buy candles to use for reliable use *inside* the UCO original candle lantern, I'd go for the paraffin or something else.
