KNIPEX74 08 200 US Tools - High Leverage Diagonal Cutters, 1000V Insulated (7408200US)

I'm switching over to insulated tools in general and for emergency use specifically. If it isn't energized, no harm no foul, they work the same as non-insulated tools, but if something is hot, they can save your life specifically if dealing with DC electric vehicles during extrications Mostly Knipex with some Kleins, but that amounts to personal preference.

Very sharp

I work in the cable-running business, so I use these extensively. These Knipex (pronounced Ku-nip-ix, I found out) are a little pricey, but they are worth it. I had a pair for about 5 years before I bought this replacement set, only because I lost mine in an attic. I cut coax, #10 copper, and phone lines with these all day long. I even use them to cut the occasional nail, coat hanger, and galvanized strap. These cutters are super hard, and even after all that, they still seemed just as sharp as when I first bought them. No nicks, at all. The insulated handles are very comfortable, as well.

Yes they are a little pricey - but You can't find better quality. The hardened cutting edges are superior to anything else I've purchased over the years. And - When you finally do something stupid while standing on a ladder and you don't even feel a tingle a couple extra dollars seems like a real bargain. (and i should know)

Works as advertised, supposedly dead line was not, burnt through cutter but did not electrocute technician, we appreciate this manufacturer
