It is a 19v Ryobi... Trims well runs a long time.

Although I have not yet used the item to trim my bushes, I can tell by looking at the item that the construction is good, and I am sure I will get good results from this product. Only problem was the box it was shipped in arrived partially torn open.

I had been using a corded hedge trimmer but accidentally cut the extension cord. I already has a Ryobi battery, so I decided to try a cordless hedge trimmer. I wondered if it would be powerful enough. It was. With power to spare. I like the that trimmer is easy to maneuver, especially with the rotating handle. Also, the center guard that is provided keeps the cut branches from accumulating and jamming the trimmer. They are easily brushed aside and keep the trimmer clear. I had three, very large (6-8 feet), hard-to-cut shrubs with thick branches and this trimmer handled them very well. I then cut a few smaller shrubs and some ornamental grasses. I had plenty of power left over. I look forward to using this hedge trimmer again.

The cutting blades are RAZOR sharp. (I cut my finger checking the sharpness, not expecting them to be as sharp as they were.) This is a beast that cuts through densely crowded hedge branches including woody branches up to 3/4" like a hot knife through butter. When stopping, be sure to let the blade come to a full stop before lowering the tool. The still slowly-moving blade caught my shorts once and the result was a hole. Thankfully it didn't catch my leg. The handle will rotate left or right 45 and 90 degrees, which comes in VERY handy. I also like the hedge-sweep attachment. Best hedge trimmer I have ever used.

Amazon has a better selection of Ryobi than any store and lower prices. This trimmer is great for hedges. You will need a 4 amp battery for sufficient run time. I trim tall hedges that are a total of 50 feet long. This has as much power as a plug in hedge trimmer.

Package was BEAT UP. I’m not blaming seller…I’ll assume it was during shipping. Not sure how it made it here because the bottom was completely open.HOWEVER, product was like new, had all instruction manuals, and no complaints. I haven’t used it yet but I put my battery in it and it seemed to work great/smooth. I would buy from this seller again.
