I've used these things extensively, gotten a lot of good life out of them, and still have a lot more life left in them.They are strong enough for light to moderate rust, paint, oil, grime, dirt, etc.They can operate as fast as 4000 RPM all day with no problem, and they are well balanced, so no vibration problems like some brands suffer from.

The only reason I gave these a 4 is that the ends seem a bit short and narrow. I'm using these to remove the 'death foam' that Volkswagen injected into the C pillars of their Beetles in the 70s that cause a lot of vehicles to rust/rot from the inside out. Because the flex shafts I bought don't have a locking mechanism I drilled a hole through the end of the flex shaft and these wire brushes and it's working like a champ.

Love having multiple sizes rather than trying to make do with one or 2 sizes. Cuts down on effort needed and time to complete the job.

Nicely constructed with wrapped transverse retaining wires. Good value. Working fine on my Milwaukee M12 electric die grinders.

I needed a couple of these brushes for my shop to remove some minor rust on some parts. At first they worked well.. then the wires began to snap off. In fact, right out of the box they were all stuck together except 2 which had plastic covering. It was a nightmare to UNentertwine them.After a few uses at 3,000 RPM they seem to fall apart. I gave 'em 4 stars because there are so many of different sizes but honestly, they don't last long.
