Okay so... I did not use these for a child but I did purchase them after my cat learned how to open the cabinets. They were super simple to install, and most importantly, easy for adults to open. I didn't want anything that I would have to spend 5 minutes opening myself. Overall a great value and have kept the cats out of the cabinets!

The media could not be loaded. My almost 2-year-old is on a mission to open everything cabinets, trash can, fridge, even the toilet. These locks are a total game-changer. Super easy to install (no tools, no drama). Only reason for a four star is because I have not removed them yet so I don’t know how easy that would be. But so far, he hasn’t cracked the code. Absolute must-have for parents of curious little explorers!

I bought these to keep my foster cats from getting into the cabinets. They are great, except for the cabinet next to the stove. Don't see how it will work. Otherwise amazing and easy to release when you want into the cabinets.

These work well for keeping busy, curious 2 year old out of the kitchen drawers although they did not work for the1960's era cabinet doors in my kitchen.

My cats hate me for installing these, but now I know my linens are hairless.

I put these on my fridge and cabinets to prevent our toddler from opening them, the inspector gadget stuff that he does in the house. This item did not stick long to the fridge as my toddler was able to pull it off within a week. Same thing with one of our cabinets. The glue or adhesive needs to be stronger please.
