These D’Addario XS Phosphor Bronze strings have completely won me over. Right out of the package, they felt smooth and played beautifully. The tone is warm and balanced—perfect for everything from fingerstyle to strumming.What really impressed me is how long they last. The ultra-thin coating protects without dulling the sound, and after weeks of regular playing, there's no fraying or loss of tone. Plus, they stay in tune exceptionally well thanks to the NY Steel core and Fusion Twist tech.The resealable packaging is a nice touch, and the Players Circle points are an incredible bonus. Over the last 30 yrs I've bought nearly every brand of string there is, and most are great, some are excellent, and these are the upper end of excellent in my personal opinion. I used to use Elixirs (and I still like them) but I've been solely using D'addario XS coated strings for several years now and I've never looked back. They feel SO good, slippery enough yet dry, unlike when you use something like Fast Fret which gets your fingers a little oily. These strings have that slick feel simply from the coating, and even the non-wound strings are slick and stay that way, they don't get corroded and coarse feeling, just wonderful. And these things last forever, even on acoustics the sound stays crisp, unless you use a metal pick.

I've been playing acoustic guitar for twenty years. I've tried every string I could get my hands on. I usually gravitate toward D'Addario strings. Their standard phosphor bronze strings are what I typically use.The last time I restrung my guitar, I purchased Ernie Ball Earthwood strings at the recommendation of my local music store. I HATED them. From the moment I put them on, my guitar sounded so dead and lifeless. It was like I had put six month old, tarnished strings onto my guitar. Everything was so dull and muted.Cue the D'Addario coated phosphor bronze strings. After that terrible experience, I decided to splurge and buy some "expensive" strings. I knew I liked D'Addario, so I figured I'd like expensive D'Addario too. I had high expectations and I was still blown away by these strings.Night and day compared to the Earthwood strings. My guitar was load and bright and sang so beautifully. From the very first moment I strung them onto my guitar, before it was even tuned, I knew. These were the strings for me.They sound just as good, if not better than the standard D'Addario phosphor bronze strings, but the coating makes them so much more playable. String noise is greatly reduced. The strings are so smooth that my fingers glide up and down the fretboard effortlessly. They've been on my guitar for a few weeks now, and they still look and play like they're brand new. No hint of tarnish anywhere on the strings.At over double the price of the standard phosphor bronze strings, I don't think these would be more cost effective. I don't think I'll get over double the life out of these over a standard set of strings, but the added playability and longevity more than makes up for the price difference to me. I'll probably use these strings for the rest of my life.

WOW! First time trying these strings, and they are AWESOME. I put them on an old hummingbird dreadnought guitar, and I just love the tones. Strings produce great sound volume without forfeiting highs or lows, or sounding like an airport.Best strings I've personally experienced.

I am thoroughly pleased with these guitar strings. they’re probably twice as much as average strings, but they’re worth every penny. Plus I really believe they save me from buying another guitar. Because my old guitar sounds incredible now. But more than sounds incredible. It’s so much easier to play. We’re talking an acoustic guitar that plays about as easy as an electric guitar now. Yes they’re expensive. But I understand they last much longer than regular strings. If you’re serious about Guitar playing go ahead and invest the money. You will not regret it. I recommend you buy a three pack. You can economize a little bit that way

Good sound, not too heavy on the coating, long lasting. I use the phosphor bronze. I used to use Elixirs and they are good strings but on the particular higher end acoustic I'm using, I tried a set of the Elixirs and honestly these D'Addario strings sounded much better, crisper, not squeaky and they last a good long time.

Keeping it simple: they feel super smooth and nice to play, they stay in tune super well, and they sound fantastic to my ears.If you have a guitar you don’t play very often, put these strings on there and all of a sudden you’re gonna wish all your guitars had strings this nice.

Move over Elixer!I’ve been playing Elixers custom light for 20+ years, these sound and feel better. A little more expensive but they have the player points. I will be buying these again!
