Clarion The Complete Adventures of Curious George

It's big but great for kids since there are many stories in one book; it feels durable, too. It makes a great gift for a curious little child. When I brought it over to my younger friend after it arrived, the kid's eyes were shining, and they wanted to read it right away.

These are the original stories. And I grew up with them. What surprises me is how big a reflection of the times they are. If you didn't grow up with Curious George stories, you may be a bit surprised with some of the things that are depicted in the pictures and stories. Just keep in mind, those things were acceptable 75 years ago!
