ViewSonic VX2718-2KPC-MHD 27 Inch Curved 1440p 1ms 180Hz Gaming Monitor with FreeSync Premium, Eye Care, HDMI and Display Port

I got this right after i got their higher quality 32" monitor, but aside from the higher resolution and the metal frame of the other, I prefer this one in EVERY way! Its less of a strain on my GPU, its color feels better to my eyes, its lighter, and so less strain on the wall mount, and on the adjustments that hold it level and at the right height, the resolution is great, 2k is perfect IMHO. It's just a phenomenal display. Only thing I'd improve is the speakers. They are definitely lacking, but do the job if you don't expect high quality. Oh yeah, the curved screen is very nice on the eyes.

Perfect! Just like all the other Viewsonic Monitors I have owned, this one works great. I had to purchase a mounting swing arm because the legs of the support were too large in size. But the monitor works great.... I am not into the heavy gaming so I don't need the real high priced monitors, plus I'm not real fond of the curve screen monitors of this size. This was the only one I found that gave me a bit faster refresh rate, larger size, and was FLAT.

Awesome monitor, with free sync enabled, your gaming experience really improves, a little advice, the monitors brightness is set at 100%, turn it down so your eyes wont melt.

This monitor is a good budget monitor that has similar specs and features to others in a higher price range. I have been running this monitor for almost a year now and haven't had any issues of dead pixels or any quality control issues pop up yet. This is an ultra wide so you must have a decent rig to run this setup around a 3070 or higher for modern gaming at least in 2025. There are some things to note before you buy this monitor. The specs show to run 180hz and other features it requires the use of display port 1.4. However what it does not tell you is that the monitor comes with a display port 1.2 HBR2 certified cable. I had to figure this out by comparing and looking at the specs and user guide from their website. So if you are buying this monitor make sure to get a HBR3 certified display port 1.4 cable. This also allows more settings to be used in conjunction in the monitor as well. The 1ms response time feature is done by a feature called "Motion Picture Response Time" (MPRT) feature to achieve that fast response time. This means that the normal brightness levels you'll notice won't be as bright when playing a game yet a positive is that you won't see any blurriness or minimal ghosting in my tests. This means that you cannot use 1ms while using hdr10 which brings me to my next point. HDR10 on this monitor is really good especially on high contrast scenes. although you will rarely notice the difference or improvement in colors but will notice in brightness and contrast. like I said you cannot use the 1ms and hdr at the same time. Another quirk for this monitor is to use it in the color space YUV and not RGB. YUV is a better color space mainly used by modern graphics cards. my rig to get a idea of performance is a ryzen 5900x, evga ftw3 3080, 64gb of ram, and gen 4/5 m.2 drives. In call of duty black ops 6 high settings with dlss on I get 115-123 FPS. In final fantasy 7 remake intergrade i hit the cap of 144fps, final fantasy 16 i get around 60-125 with dlss on. spiderman 2 100-135 fps consistent with dlss on, and the last game i tested is fort nite which i get around 90fps without dlss on. I bring up the frames of games because when using 1ms response time mode its very codependent with the framerate of a game so your mileage might vary from what I noticed. The setup is incredibly easy and a really great budget monitor. I would recommend this for if you want to upgrade from an older monitor. Just remember to have a decent rig by a HBR3 diplay port 1.4 cable, and to read the user manual for weird quirks.

I have used Viewsonic monitors fort the past 20 years and when my 13 year old 24" started dying, it was time for a big upgrade. This is a massive monitor and I love it, resolution and width is remarkable. I use ion a Mac mini alongside another 30". Highly recommended purchase.

Bought this for my adult daughter for her birthday, she LOVES it! Perfect size, not too big, not too small, just right! Picture quality for gaming is out of this world fabulous!

I was honestly rather happy with this monitor all things considered.It had some issues with ghosting but it never proved that much of an issue with gaming overall.I had it for about 3 years when it suddenly just died just wouldn't turn on anymore. Similar to other reviews who mention this particular issue though in my case I never experienced any form of artifacting or or flickering.Very disappointed

I bought this for my son's gaming system, but he couldn't use it so I just gave him my 32" monitor and used this myself. It's wide enough for my work application, where I have to have several windows open on the screen without have multiple monitors.
