Disappointed
I give it 5 stars because I love cree products. This time didn't work out. I got it all set up 12v 1A and nothing. Not even a blink. Guess I'll try another one...

LED de-soldered itself within minutes
There is no mention of the requirement for a heatsink and it is described as a 12V LED. However, when powered by 12V, the LED got hot-enough to de-solder itself from the board within three minutes.

Painfully bright!
Be sure to use this with a heatsink. After just a few seconds without one one of the chips was destroyed.
