Worked great for my mini-split install.Vacuum pump seems to pull quickly and gauges and hoses had no leaks. Look forward to using it on more projects.

The media could not be loaded. I needed this vacuum pump and gauge set after replacing a failed compressor and drier, before refilling the system with refrigerant. The pump pulls a solid vacuum, and the gauges work very well—no need for anything fancy. I had no issues with leaks; just be sure to apply thread tape to all the fittings. The gauges were useful not only for recharging but also for diagnosing the original issue of hot air blowing from the vents. I also paired it with a Robinair RG3 to recover the refrigerant. The A/C is now blowing icy cold—just in time for the summer heat.

Works great… it would seem as if the pump prefers to be plugged in near the socket as close as possible, rather than on my 50 foot extension cord, the extension cord works just fine however, the pump would not turn on when plugged into the extension cord and it doesn’t adequate extension cord. However, once plugged into the wall, it did just fine. In fact I was quite impressed for it only being a single stage pump.

The self-sealing can tap in my kit was faulty. Not only would it not allow coolant to flow from the can into my van’s A/C system, it would break the self-sealing mechanism in the can, and the gas would spray out of the can after removing the tap. I thought that I might have a faulty can, but I tried using it on three cans, and got the same result every time.I contacted their “customer service” department, and described the problem in very clear detail. They wrote back requesting pictures and screenshots and purchase details, all of which I provided, and they said they would send a new self-sealing can tap.….but they sent me a puncture style can tap instead. I wrote them back to tell them that they had sent the wrong tap, I included pictures of the incorrect item that was sent, and asked them to please send the correct item. They responded by telling me that they had sent a puncture tap, AND a self-sealing can tap, and told me to double check the parcel. Basically, their response to their own error was to accuse me of being an idiot.I wrote them back again to tell them that the parcel was just a small bubble wrap envelope, and the only thing inside it was the wrong tap, and I once again asked them to please send the correct one. They wrote back waffling about some possible error in their warehouse, and told me to send pictures of the item I had received (which I had already done), so they could determine what error had occurred, and what type of solution they could offer…..THE SOLUTION IS REPLACING THE FAULTY PART LIKE I ASKED YOU TO DO FIVE EMAILS AGO!!!Prior to receiving their last email, I decided that their customer service department was useless, so I just went out to buy another self-sealing can tap at Harbor Freight. That tap worked just fine, proving that the fault did in fact lie with the tap that had been included with the kit.I initially thought that the price on this kit was a good deal, but after it caused me to waste $30 on coolant (not to mention making me release toxic chemicals into the environment), and another $8 on a new tap which their customer service department failed to replace, it turned out not to be such a good deal after all.WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN!

Had too return the first vacuum pump due to is would run for two mins and shut off.New pump was received within 4-5 days.Have not used the replacement pump yet.

This tool has worked great I use it all three cars and it is still going strong showing no signs of wearing down.
