Q: Will this work with other brand packing tape?

Yes, I purchased tape from a seller on Ebay and it works fine. The tape I have is 2" wide and 110 yards long and fits nicely.

Q: Is this a two or three inch tape roll model?

If you mean the width of the tape it is 2". If you mean the inner diameter of the roll it is almost exactly 3". Hope that helps.

Q: Does the tape get stuck to the roll like it does with cheap holders?

It does at times but it doesn't get jumbled up like others, try to pull it with a bit of tension then all is good. Its actually a very good roller its best to use it with the Duck brand tape which is very good and one of the best I used.

Q: The standard roller does not seem to have a blade on it. Does it really not cut tape, or is the blade concealed some how?

There is a little black cover over the blade. Pull it off, but be careful. The blade is very sharp.
