For ANYONE who struggles with how best to 'make things happen' and the question of 'what do you want'
For anyone who has been on a discovery journey that began like mine with an introduction to the Secret several years ago, went from there to Bob Proctor, Esther Hicks and the likes, then went on to Wayne Dyer's books, from there to Eckhart Tolle and then to Marianne Williamson and then ultimately the study of A Course in Miracles, this book is definitely for you.Ever since I have begun on this journey which I now understand came at precisely the time it needed for me, I have struggled with the concept of 'just make a list of your wishes, visualise, be specific, set a time line, etc etc etc'. I sat in so-called law of attraction type seminars with the main theme being 'what is it you really want', listen to accounts of people who had their plans clearly mapped out, who seemed to visualise like mad and seemed so convinced that 'this is what they wanted'; while I sat there thinking 'what the hell is wrong with me that I sort of know what I want but that I am actually not quite sure'....Well, fast forward to now, I know now that this is a journey that I was meant to be on. This book is for anyone who has arrived at reading Eckhart Tolle's 'A New Earth', felt a huge wave of peace and relief, felt an even bigger relief and peace when reading Marianne Williamson's 'A Return to Love', began to study and read the Course in Miracles and finally understands the concept of 'asking life what it wants from me'.I always thought that unless I make it happen for me, nothing ever gets done; I always thought that in a certain way life was a bit of a struggle, that I need to go out there and take the bull by the horn. That unless you have a clear plan mapped out towards your goal, you won't get there. That people will take advantage of you if you don't watch out for yourself, that you need to compete in this world etc etc - all the things that years of working in the financial industry in both New York and London effectively teach you....Reading this book will bring such a huge relief to anyone who finally wants to understand what can happen when you just let go (anyone who knows me will know that for me to 'let go' is the antithesis of how I used to operate in my daily life...), when you just surrender yourself to the stream of life, when you detach yourself from your thoughts, your likes and dislikes, and just go with what life presents you. Reading this book and listening now to The Untethered Soul as an audiobook also makes A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle more comprehensible (to me Eckhart Tolle is my spiritual teacher bar none but his language is tougher to understand sometimes).I hope this review will help those like me who have come full circle and finally understand what life is all about. What the next years will bring, I don't know - but I am excited to find out what my own 'surrender experiment' will bring!Great book and thank you so very much to Michael Singer for writing this!

Enlightening & Excellent Read ✨
Having not long found Michael A. Singer on YouTube & engaging in other practices to lift myself ✨ I felt impelled to check a few of his books out & WOW I'm so glad I did 💫 So much so; I immediately ordered copies of the three I'd selected for my son 🧡 I'm part way through this beauty & am gaining so much from it so far 🌈 I feel I stumbled upon him at just the right time ( thank you Universe 🙏) & am ready for a sea change ✨ I feel so much of what he speaks of resonates on a very deep level. I'm looking forward to incorporating more of his practices into my own spiritual growth. Thank you so much for putting this out there 🌸✌️😉🍃

Excellent book, gets a bit too detailed on the business part of the story
An excellent read for the first half of the book. This is the part of the book where the author slowly becomes something of a hermit while studying in graduate school in the 1960s. In part, this was very much a product of its time - long hair, barefoot, and into yoga, the author goes on a search to try and get rid of the annoying ceaseless voice within. However, this is more than just 1960s New Age nonsense - the author clearly experienced a deep and powerful change of mind and attitude when meditating one day, and the first half of the book is the account of his attempt to live truthfully to his new realisation. It's fascinating to read about how the author starts following what he calls 'life' and what 'life' asks of you - rather than trying to use willpower to 'get out of life what I need'. The results are peaceful, joyous, and amazing. However, the reason this review is 4 stars and not 5 is that the book then also details how the author, through no big plan of his own, then sets up a few different businesses, and eventually becomes CEO a billion dollar plus business. The ins and outs of how one product and one business line became another into the 1980s and 1990s are a bit repetitive, while the main spiritual message underneath it all remain the same - the author, throughout this time, did not give up his spiritual way of life, and carried on surrendering to 'life' and what it asked of him. But this part of the book loses some of the spiritual aspect, due to the fact that so much emphasis is placed on how the business developed. I would have liked to have read more about how the author related his growing financial success to the practice of spiritual principles, and of how he kept up his spiritual practices of yoga and meditation even when he was running a major business with thousands of employees. Having said this, this book is a refreshing and honest tale of one person's voyage down the road of giving up self-centredness and developing into a surrendered human being.

Life changing
Thank you Michael this book has helped me to rationalise me life, let go of past pain, confusion and misunderstanding. This book helps to bring peace and negate resistances to life. For such a high powered executive to be honest and reflective about his life is totally refreshing and revealing in its honesty and humility letting us have an insight into how to handle the most challenging situations life brings us.
