Samsung warranty is a scam!
I've always had a Samsung phone, with no problems. I bought a Flip 3 5G 11 months ago. It was in a case from the moment I received it. A week ago I decided to pit a new screen protector on the LCDs. When I removed the original protector any cleaned the screen to apply the new protector I noticed a sticky spot on the lower half of the inside screen. I ribbed it, trying to clean off whatever it was. When I rubbed it a black spot appeared and a horizontal white line and a vertical pink line showed up, going from that spot to the edge of the screen.I spoke with Samsung CS and they assured me not to worry, it would be covered by warranty. They sent me ticket # and a UPS label.Today I received an email from them saying it wasn't covered at all and they wanted $243.48 to fix it. I called and after quite a bit of runaround I finally talked to the supervisor of the technician that looked at my phone and as she described it the problem with the screen would have been covered but they could see microscopic scratches on the hinge and a small, barely visible scratch on the back glass. She said if the phone wasn't in the same exact condition it was in when it came off the production line the warranty voided.I honestly tried to reason with her that I had used the phone for 11 months and of course there would be signs of wear. She said she understood but there was nothing she could do.I asked her if her department ever honored a warranty it a phone had been actually used. She would not answer. They are shipping my phone back, unrepaired. I'll spend the money locally to get it fixed if it's worth it. Better that just feeding Samsung even more money on a scam...Samsung has awsome products, true...Their warranty is just an outright scam that they should be embarrassed of.

I'm not a Samsung fan!
I was looking for a small phone I could put in my pocket. New phones are so big and my phone isn't my life. Unfortunately all small phones are missing a lot of new improvements. Samsung normally puts do much junk on the phone and have a bad UI. I decided that having it golf so I could put it in my pocket and still sit down.I am surprised how much they have improved the UI and how smooth it has ran so far. It fits great in my pocket but it feels fragile and the outside is glass. I put a cover on it and it seems more sturdy.Battery life could be better, I really don't use my phone a lot but I do find I am close to 20 percent at bed time. My pixel I was around 50 percent at bed time.If you want a phone that fits in your pocket and has all the cool tech this is it! I thought I would be writing an average rating on this but the more I use it the more I like it!

Love this phone
Everyone has an opinion about these phones...and here's mine: I'm very satisfied with this purchase...it did take a couple of weeks to get used to it and I did let what others are saying creep into my mind a little but I love the phone. I went with this instead of the Motorola based on reading consumer reviews. The camera is good, love the compact size, and just overall pleased with this decision. I have been using it for just over two months. I was asked to review it shortly after I purchased it but did not because...what did I know then? I mean, you get to try it out for 30 days so go for it!

Update: Nov. 2024 - Phone is dead after 30 months, $1,000 bucks down the drain
Update: Nov. 20, 2024 - Upon folding, the phone shuts off. About 50% of the time it restarts, but the other 50% requires using the power cable. It shuts off on occasion even when lying open and flat. . .the screen times out and the phone shuts off. Today, the High Temp icon appeared when attempting to slow change with several different bricks. . .the phone is room temp. . .NOT hot. Samsung is absolutely worthless for any help.Persons seeking to purchase a Samsung folding phone are well advised to avoid the Flip & Fold Samsung phones, and anything else by Samsung. This company's motto appears to be 'Caveat Emptor'.UPDATE: Oct. 17, 2023 - The screen savers on both of my FLIP3 5G have lifted at the fold. Samsung's declared "authorized repair stations" such as BestBuy simply take the phone and ship it back to Samsung / even for a screen savor. Despite the convenience of the flip, I would not recommend buying one.I purchased an Amazon 'renewed' phone. The phones factory functions worked perfectly. However, the previous owned applied glass protective panels to the phone's covers and this makes the phone heavier that it should be. The phone arrived with 0% battery charge. The warranty is ONLY what remains on the factory 12 month warranty; in my situation this was 4 months, however various credit cards automatically extend the warranty from 12-24 months. The quirks: The FLIP phone requires it be partially opened to continue listening to the audio of an imbedded video from a newspaper. If you close the phone completely, the entire phone stops. I learnt this after 40 minutes 'chatting' with 3 different Samsung 'agents'; the last promised an update within 24 hours - never arrived. And this brings me to the most important issue: The customer service offered by Samsung is wretched.
