Master Class Crusty Bake Fluted Round Flan/Quiche Tin, 18x3cm, Sleeved

I have given this Quiche tin 3 stars because I can only bake full crust pies in them. For Quiche when you blind bake the crust, then put the filling in and the custard, the custard leaks out of the holes in the baking tin and over the baking tray. Okay for full crust apple pie not suitable for me anyway to bake quiche. Also I don't see much difference in the base of the pie being anymore crusty because of the holes in the tin, you will get a fully cooked bottom in your pie with a longer baking time .

No baking beans needed, so no more fiddling about ….. if you do happen to make a hole in the pastry its easily fixed with a brush of egg wash or a little milk to seal again. Have used a dozen times and no complaints .and as the sainted Mary herself would comment NO SOGGY BOTTOMS!!.

Don't press too much when you line the tin with pastry because the holes in the side of the tin have very sharp edges and they slice into the pastry , then the pastry case leaks as did my custard tart

Finally after years of trying I have found a tin that cooks evenly on the bottom of my pastry. The quiche was so good it disappeared within five minutes. In fact it was so good Ive just bought another one which has arrived today. I know what I'm cooking tonight!!!!! BUY IT easy to clean!!!!

This is a brilliant, time-saving quiche baking tin. No need to bake the pastry blind, easy to extract the finished item, easy to clean and very sturdy. Also an excellent gift.
