Classic Wooden Chess for Adults and Children aged over 8

A nice size chess set for the money. Suitable for children to learn the game on, but also good for adults too. Board is a bit flimsy but if left unfolded looks okay. The folding up of the board may tear it. Pleased with this item.

Loved the quality was pleasantly surprised for the cost I bought it for a starter for my grandson who has just started to learn to play chess told him I would get him a better one when needed but he said grandma this is perfect

For the price its a decent enough set. I personally don't mind the folding board as long as you are gentle when folding it will be fine. The wooden pieces are nice and simple.

Board and pieces are fine but it is NOT a wooden board at all, it is cardboard. And one bad drink spill will surely ruin the board.

Pros; lightweight, playing instruction includedCons; the actual chess board is made of cardboard with vinyl type sticker on it to imitate checkered board, it is foldable like many other board games which might be good option but the folding causes the board to be uneven which results in having your chess pieces either falling or just standing wonky.You need to keep the original box in order to keep your chess unlike with the traditional wooden box where you can store your chess pieces in the box.Chess pieces, although wooden covered in acrylic paint they're are lightweight sone of the pieces had a paint blop at the bottom which I had to remove.Overall I am ok with this product only because I paid half the normal price and I need this for a community group chess club, if I got this product at regular price I would be disappointed especially that you can get a proper wooden box set for 10pounds at The Works.This product is not good for a gift, it's cheaply made and not looking good.

Awful quality, bumps in the plastic board. Don’t waste your money.
