Peterson’s Principles of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Fourth Edition 2022

All in all this is a good update of the classic Peterson's text. There are new chapters on x-nav implant placement as well as on zygomatic implants. There are further updates in the other implant chapters, MRONJ and others with more recent information from experts in the field. Other chapters are pretty similar to version 3 as not much as changed in terms of wound healing, oral path etc. Definitely a worthwhile purchase as a comprehensive OMFS review, and for me the updates justify buying the 4th edition even though I already had the 3rd

Though it didn’t come in a set the first time around, I messaged the support team and they sent a new set free of charge! A+ service.As far as the book, this is the best OMFS catch-all resource. The XNAV chapter and all of the new updates make this a must-have, even if you’ve had older versions for years.

As a former patient of Dr . Peterson - it was refreshing to see he literally “wrote the book” on the subject. One of the most intelligent, patient and competent docs I’ve ever met.

A thorough and comprehensive resource for students, residents, fellows, attendings and all others interested in oral and maxillofacial surgery written by the leading experts in the field. Not to be missed if you are serious about learning about oral and maxillofacial surgery.
