Very helpful customer service when setting up the turbine. Can’t fault it

Set the turbine up to a 24v battery system, hooked up a watt meter to see how much power the turbine would generate. With the turbine running flat out, it generated 0.12A! Not even 80w’s let alone 800w’s!! Not good at all. I shall look to whip out the useless motor and replace it with a dc motor that I know works!!

First of I knew I'd have to fit to bracket of some kind. There was no real assistance with this from the manufacturer. A flange plate is provided but no means to fasten it to a pole or bracket for shed or garage. The wiring left little to be desired just 3 inches at turbine end no colour code. Extra cable needed to connect to controller. 2nd controller also had 3 inches of wire to connect to which required bearing back and either soldering or tag block. I would have preferred screwed connections. In conclusion too much to do before you find out whether it works or not. There were no credible instructions.

Not enough wind yet to evaluate output

Had up for a couple of months now and we had some really bad weather and the windmill produced nothing even in strong wind

Basically useless unless you're in windy city (shetland isles) or on the seafront.In middle earth you'll get an average less than 10W - these things need a lot of wind to be driven and that makes a whistling noise you'll hate.Bigger is better for windmills, and unfortunately whilst these fall under permitted development - the radius is WAY WAY too small, and the armature (the generator coil) is far to weak to be of any use - basically avoid as you'll be disappointed. - 73 de a ham with a clue (tldr: needs bigger diameter blades, gearbox and better magnets&coils).

5kgms weight 850 watts not light you'll need scaffold to support it comes with a flange that is useless unless you have a welder, I brought a new screw in type that screws directly on to my to 10ft 1.5 inch galvanised poles you'll need wall brackets they are called ties I brought mine from Birmingham, good look.
