Bradford Knives Guardian 3 Fixed Blade Black BRAD3FE101

First impressions. It's a beautiful piece of work! Attention to details is spot on. The blade is wicked sharp. Nicked myself and didn't even know it.I've been in contact with Bradford Knives about this blade, specifically. Since I couldn't find any good details about N690 steel online, I asked a few questions about it. Brad, the maker of this knife, responded and sang its praises! He doesn't know why the price for this steel is only 1/4 of M390. Fantastic edge holding, good durability and toughness, but slightly less corrosion resistance than M390. N690 is not powder steel like M390, but the characteristics are very similar. As for Brad's work, the 3D handle is perfect for my hand. The sheath is nice quality, but I'm ordering from Brad a lefty sheath...only 10.00. This will be a daily carry for just daily tasks and Brad says this is the perfect steel for that. It comes with the sheath and a knife care card (sharpening instructions and cleaning), along with Brad's business card. Very impressed and happy. Buy one before they disappear!

The Gaurdian 3 is a great sized edc knife. It is very sharp. It rides horizontally and is fairly easy to conceal comfortably. It is very handy for various purposes. I have fairly large hands but I have a good grip on this knife. It comes in various handles, steels and grinds so pick what you want before ordering. I’m very pleased with the sheath also. It is good looking as is the knife.

Love it extremely sharp

The heat treat is great, makes a great edc knife, handle is fairly comfortable for me having large hands (probably great with normal to small hands), probably a 3 and a half finger grip in my hand, the micarta has plenty of grip without being rough in hand and was finished very well with a very grippy shape offering to not slipping in a forward or reverse grip on heavy cuts, the n690 steel holds an edge very well and as good or better as any n690 knife I've personally owned and has a very thin slicey profile, it does have a well finished somewhat rounded spine making it very comfortable to choke up on for "precision" cuts, but it will not strike a ferro rod, as for the sheath it is a horizontal carry, right hand crossdraw, un-dyed veg tan, fitted sheath, while I did flip my knife over in the sheath and carry it on my right hip, handle forward (as the belt loop is only on one side, but it is stiched on all sides with a welt all the way around), it could do with a bit of remolding if you intend to carry it in this manner, although it is a very plain sheath, it does seem to be well made, fantastic for its intended use and somewhat versatile with a little time spent on it, I feel like it is a fantastic knife for the money and very comfortable to use as a edc

This knife is smaller than i anticipated by just a little, the finger grooves are just a bit smaller than large hands would prefer.Beautifully finished, though the scales are a touch wider than i would like to see.The sheath is rubbish. Despite this knives small size, it cannot be carried horizontally on any non-American size person. A simple high rise pancake style sheath would make this an absolutely perfect buy.Sadly, they are unavailable.As such, despite the extremely modest cost of this knife and its excellent design it is destined to end up in a drawer rather than as a daily carry option.

My favorite knife hands down. Great steel and beautiful finish. Love the blade design and upgraded handle fits your hand perfectly. I did hope the blade would come a bit sharper but I took care of that in 2 mins. The sheath is a great design and holds the knife securely and side carry is very convenient and comfortable. I highly recommend this knife.

Had my reservations about such a small knife for such a big price. But after getting it and carrying it for a few days, I really like this little knife. Just as handy as a good pocket knife, and with a little honing it was shaving sharp. Overall worth the money.

Beautiful knife, sharp as a razor. Would have given 5 stars but the handle is too small. If you have small hands this would make a great edc knife if you're allowed to carry a straight knife in your area. Comes with a well made horizontal sheath and seems to hold the knife secure. Great steel and a nice shaped grip round it out. I recommend it if you don't mind the smallish grip.
