Great texture & very good in recipes
This was my first time to cook any type of couscous. I followed the directions on the bag. The recipe that I followed that called for couscous turned out really good. Some times with GF products the texture can be not very good, but with this product the couscous pearls held their shape and had a soft texture that blended well with the vegetables (used Spinach instead of kale), spices & flavors in the recipe.

Horrible!! It is tasteless mush!
Just a bunch of mush. Not edible. This is the third Geffen brand gluten-free product that I have had to throw down the garbage disposal. Do not waste your money. Do not buy any of their products. They are horrible. I really think we should receive a refund.

I love this couscous!
This gluten free couscous is amazing. The taste is great and it's so easy to make. the one suggestion I have is to "toast" the couscous on low heat with the oil before adding the water. It may say to use low heat but I am legally blind and had to use AI to read the instructions and I did not hear to use low heat. I kind of burned the first batch but it still tasted good. the second batch I used low heat when toasting or frying it in the oil and it turned out perfectly. In fact I now have this on subscription so that I get a three pack every month!

Really tasty, great GF substitute
We loved this gluten-free couscous. It first take a bit longer to cook and requires quite a bit of oil- make sure to read the directions and follow them! Toasting added tons of flavor. The price is steep, like all GF products, so this won’t be a staple per se, but I will definitely buy this again.

Sticks to pot
Fickle cooking conditions. Sticks to bottom of pan so make sure it's boiling when you put it in, as then be sure to keep stirring so it doesn't stick (and I'm saying this about a nonstick sauce pan). Decent flavor texture if it doesn't accidently become mush. Recommend rinsing it after the boil. Ridiculously expensive, and agitatingly in 7 ounce packs instead of a full cup. If it was $5 per cup of pasta or less I would add a star, and if it didn't stick I would add the second star. I will update this if things change for better or worse.

I actually love this stuff.
I have a specific way of cooking this as I’m not going to deep fry it as directed. Generally, when you boil gluten-free pasta, the starches can be an issue and thicken the water, and it’s absolutely the worst with this, so I strain and rinse it a few times as it’s boiling, until I get a good texture and strain it one last time. Otherwise it’s going to burn/stick or you’re going to have a goopy couscous. But once you do get that good consistently, and get all the starchy goo out, it’s really a great tasting product.
