Good, honest, tinned squid
With tinned fish becoming such a hip item these days, the cost is being driven up. Just a few years ago I could get some of the prominent brands at a really good price. Now they're all out of my price range, but not these succulent yumsters. Vigo makes a mean tinned squid in oil. My people love them. They have a nice springy texture that is not too rubbery and they're decently salted. I tend to eat them straight from the tin over the sink, but you could probably build an attractive fancy spread with these guys.

Simple, good flavor and texture
I’ll be honest—I never pegged myself for a tin-squid fan, but Vigo’s Jumbo Squid won me over quick. Those rings are plump, tender, and flavorful compared to others I've tried. The squid’s natural briny yet clean taste is solid. No fancy bells or whistles—just good and pretty affordable.Chuck a few rings into pasta salad, slap ’em on toasted bread or make use in tapas. It's a pretty good pantry hack for protein and was good enough for me to reorder a couple times now.

Good buy!
Really octopus. Delicious. Sometimes take contents of 2 cans and saute in cast iron skillet to crisp.

Mediocre quality and taste, it is also full of grit
I was very disappointed in this canned squid. Compared to others on the market, also in olive oil, the Vigo product doesn’t taste fresh, it has a weird aftertaste and it is poorly processed, lots of grit under the teeth. Unfortunately being a grocery item Amazon policy doesn’t allow returns, I purchased the set of 10 cans and totally regret it now. I would like a refund, if I could find a way to process that.Btw, at the moment Trader Joe’s has canned squid in olive oil, also from Spain, which is $1 more per can ($3.99), but FAR SUPERIOR in quality and taste. You get what you pay for I guess…..

Perfect and very good price. Not chewy.
Never expected this to be as good as it is.Been using it as a ramen topper but just cracked one open and ate it plain like five minutes ago and it is the perfect snack. It is already cooked so can become chewy if cooked more — but it is perfect out of the can.
