I really like this top world spindle by Revolution Fibers. it's got an eye catching, elegant design and the weight is just right. I prefer to spin a worsted weight and I find this easier than other spindles I've used. I try not to fill all the way to the bottom because it's tapered, but apart from that,there's literally nothing more I could ask for. Very, very sturdy.

For small quantities, it works great.

I would definitely buy it again especially as a gift for my spinning friends if they ever wanted to learn. I bought a spinning wheel that's a modern one and didn't realize how much hand eye coordination went into using a spinning wheel. Drafting for me was super tough and I got super frustrated. So, I asked my husband if we could buy one of these spindles. He does lathe working and can make these, but he doesn't have the tool to do it. But he said this was excellent craftsmanship. I read one of the comments saying it was wobbly when it was spun and yes it does that slightly. But I also noticed that depending on how you spin the spindle I've had it move really smooth. I think it's just getting use to a new spindle and the weight of the spindle in general. I LOVE drop spindling. I can control much more on it than I can on the spinning wheel. I would HIGHLY recommend you start with a spindle then graduate to a spinning wheel when you get the motions of drafting. I bought it because of the design of the spindle. In fact, we may buy another one because my husband said he would also like to learn spinning so that when we're watching tv he can have his hands busy because he's a work acholic. Lol. That man can't sit still even when he's deathly sick. I would be supportive of that idea so he could come out and watch tv with me once in a while and not complain about how much time he's wasting on a movie "Except when it's one he really likes watching. I might add. Lol." Thanks for this amazing product. People don't understand the talent and time it takes to make crafted quality like this especially if you're making these tools by yourself.

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas, and he’s addicted! He can spin just about anything with this … I believe the method is “park, pinch, draft.” Once he got the hang of it, he was easily spinning large threads in no time. It’s been a wonderful first spindle for him. It is beautifully high quality, and the engravings are so fun.

Got my spindle today and it's beautiful. Perfect shape! The seller has rethought their packaging and it was so well packaged. They put a hard plastic thing over the hook for protection. It will be wonderful for when I'm traveling to protect the hook then too. The entire spindle was wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a pretty blue satin carry bag. Just incredible how well protected it came!The spindle is so well made and so pretty. I can't wait to get started with it!

The media could not be loaded. I am an experienced spinner. I’ve been spinning over 20 years. Looks great, nice weight, but completely unusable because it is so out of balance. Zero stars. I understand that spindles do wobble, especially when unloaded. I have other spindles. But this one has an inconsistent, lopsided wobble that is so bad it is impossible to load. I can't hold the fiber far enough away and/or keep the spindle from banging into me to even get a few yards on it. Not a happy camper.
