I couldn't wait until I received my Shiva Nataraja statue & when I received it, it certainly did not disappoint! First, I have to compliment the seller for taking such care to package the statue in such a way that the package could've been tossed across the room & the statue wouldn't have been damaged.Second, is the statue itself. It is simply beautiful, as I indicated in the subject of this review. The quality is great, and I love the hand painting on some of the accent elements of the piece. Also included with the statue is a description of the meaning behind the statue itself, as well as the meaning of the ring that surrounds Shiva & some of the elements of the piece such as the drum Shiva beats in his right hand, the vertical eye on his forehead, etc. I'm very glad this info was included with the statue, as every time I look at the statue I'm reminded Lord Shiva is dancing on the demon of ignorance to liberate the minds of the people; I'm reminded that as Nataraja, Shiva brings a cycle to an end so another can begin, which is very meaningful for me at this point in my life.If you're looking for a new piece to add to your collection, I definitely recommend this Lord Nataraja dancing Shiva statue.

Okay ... I am torn over this item. While it lacks heft and weight, it has exquisite detail, both front and back. I have searched high and low for Shiva as Nataraja and to find one with the weight desired, as well as the quality, is nearly impossible. While this Nataraja exceeds my expectations in so far as detail, I do wish that it had the substantiality of brass. However, it seems nearly impossible to get such detail with brass. The only other Nataraja that I've seen that can compare costs nearly five thousand dollars.I have to give this item five stars due to its exquisite detail.

Looks good for eyes, but claims to be made out of brass but it is super light for the size. Ai assume it is brass finish on resin or acrylic material. Too expensive when we think from the material side.

This statue is great but I really see no need in charging this much for it. I find statues of this quality all the time at Ross and other similar stores for a fraction of the cost.That aside it does have great details but is darker than pictured, almost as if they were going for a vintage sort of look to it. His outer ring is actually quite sharp..it's exactly 10.5 inches tall but appears bigger to me.Overall I am quite impressed with this idol and it looks amazing on my living room mantle...if you have the cash to spend it's worth it..

This is a wonderful statue of Nataraja with excellent detail and workmanship.It was nicely packed and received in perfect condition.I am delighted with this purchase.

I was searching for a replica of the Dancing Shiva statue at CERN, Switzerland. I found this one to be an almost perfect match. It came perfectly boxed and in good condition. I am very satisfied with it.

Anxiously awaited the arrival of this Shiva Statue, only to open the nice foam-padded Veronese box to find that one of the flames on Shiva's big surrounding circle was broken off. I looked for the flame everywhere in the shipping boxes, thinking maybe I could glue it back on unnoticeably, and avoid the hassle of sending it back and then reordering and re-waiting...but it is nowhere to be found, it's simply not in the box.That tells me it was shipped without the missing flame. Somebody back at the seller's office wasn't inspecting too close as they packed it, or they definitely would have seen it was missing a piece. Poor quality control!It's a beautiful statue and I'd like to reorder it, but now I'm nervous about the inspection control of this seller. If I do reorder and the replacement comes in fine condition, I will update my rating on this seller.
