These must work well to filter the water in my dog's fountain because they love it. They will bypass a non filtered water bowl to go to their fountain every time. I have the petsafe big dog fountain and these fit in it perfectly. You gotta make sure to rinse them and shake out the excess charcoal dust before use or you'll see it in the bowl.

These pet water filter cartridges have been fantastic! They're inexpensive, easy to install, and do an excellent job keeping the water crystal clear and fresh. My pets have noticeably enjoyed drinking more often since we switched to these. I appreciate that they effectively filter out impurities without breaking the bank. If you want reliable filters that get the job done without the extra cost, look no further. Highly recommended!

I'm glad I can get these in bulk so it can keep my kitties water nice and clean.

Confession: I go with the generic pre-filters for my Drinkwell Avalon, but I haven't had great luck with generic for the carbon filters. Lack of (structural? filtering?) integrity results in a lot of black in the water and it also seems to slime up faster with the dupes. I'm not a slob but yeah, I only do the deep clean of the Avalon on mop-the-kitchen-floor days. How much you pull and clean your unit is obviously a factor.So I go with this, and it still seems like 4 weeks is pushing it for water quality using the same carbon filter. That might be a YMMV thing - Drinkwell does say 2-4 weeks, and it might work for a hermetically sealed environment with soft water* and very low humidity, but for me, 2, mayyyyyybe three weeks -- if it's not summer. I still think the value equation favors OEM here though.* - Hard water = calcified gunk gluing itself to the submerged surfaces of the Drinkwell and its components, making me go the extra mile with lots of vinegar and tiny brushes for cleaning, so I'm not having to replace the pump every other month. I can only imagine what goes on inside the carbon filter. Ick.
