About what you'd expect
This came unassembled for easier transportation which is the norm but unlike other models, I found this was very easy and fast to assemble. The case was fairly light when the doors were removed making it easier to mount, however it didn't include a mounting template which would have made it easier to predrill and insert the screws ahead of time to make mounting it to the wall easier.

Sturdy enclosure
I needed a small rack to put my network gear into. While this is intended to be wall-mounted, I'm using it on the floor. I put adhesive-backed furniture gliders underneath it to raise it up a little and take the weight, as there are screws on the bottom that would otherwise scratch the floor. The only openings for wires are on the top/bottom, not back (which IMO is a bit strange), so keep that in mind.I didn't want this to actually be locking with a key, however there's no way to avoid it if you want the front door to close securely. The side panels have optional key locks though, and clip in nicely without the lock.I was able to mount some rack-mount gear and rack-mount shelves on it without too much trouble. I did need to mount the vertical rails (that hold the cage nuts) on the inner side of the frame, as one of my rackmount UPS wasn't wide enough for it to fit the other way. I'm not sure which ways is intended, but it works fine that way.

Second Time's A Charm
12/2024: Nearly 4 years later I have mostly outgrown my 12U rack and am on the hunt for my next NavePoint in either 18U or 20U or maybe even 24U. Here are some of the things that I like and don't like that others considering this cabinet may find useful:PROS1 - Love that when the door is closed that I can still see the equipment and most of the critical status lights.2 - It's held up with me loading, reloading, and rearranging equipment over the past few years while I work out some things that I messed up with airflow and equipment arrangement (see CONS 3 below)3 - No sign of fatigue or weakening on the back plane where mounted to the wall.4 - Ease of access to sides and front for mounting equipment, running cables, etc.5 - Love the cage nut mounting punches vs screw taps which risk stripping out making the "U-position" mostly useless without re-tapping or upsizing the tap. I actually use Rack Studs(tm) which are quick and perfect for one-person equipment mounting.CONS1 - Even after tightening and torquing the assembly screws, overtime this cabinet has developed a slight sag. Its barely noticeable when closed up but you realize it when you pull off the side panels. So be careful with heavy loads and be sure to not max out the load capacity. Leave some weight headroom if possible and definitely don't max it out without additional front plane support from floor or ceiling (will be adding hangers to give front plane suspension support to this cabinet).2 - The cabinet fans, as others mentioned, are 120VAC and LOUD. Not for home use! Pick up some AC Infinity, Noctua, or other quiet fans to replace these and reuse the fans it came with in your garage or work shed.3 - (This one is partly my bad) Be sure to check, double-check and triple-check that your equipment will fit in the cabinet for both weight and your expected equipment arrangement AND WITH adequate air flow after you have removed those A/C powered "jet engine fans" it comes with. I did add several different sizes of AC Infinity USB powered PWM fans with thermostatic controllers to help keep the cabinet cool however I did fail to consider the mix of equipment depths and the air flow eddies that form which can trap heat. I am also looking into maybe making a custom AC Infinity CLOUDLINE solution for this cabinet or incorporating their AIRFRAME T7 intake/exhaust into my next cabinet.Back in 2020: The cabinet package arrived from Amazon and didn't look too bad on the outside although there were some questionable punctures and compressions around the heavy-duty cardboard that concerned me. The unboxing identified several deformities and dents which mostly seemed due to shipping mishandling. I took photos of all the bad pieces as I unboxed them and thought I would be able to still work with them until I got to the base plate which was bent in such a way there was no way to square up the assembly. Per the instructions in the package, I immediately reached out to NavePoint, dropped them a few of the photos, and they directly overnighted a free replacement. In with the new and shipped them back the old for "QA inspection" per their request. Customer service for the win at least at the time I bought it.The replacement was pristine. It assembled rather quickly (<40 minutes, 1 person) with not much fuss. I was able to also get it wall mounted without too much issue (also by myself).NOTEs: There were no cabinet mounting bolts in the package which some have mentioned; however, I feel this is a good tradeoff since NavePoint has no idea if the cabinet is going to be mounted on concrete, drywall, wood or other and the cost of all that hardware isn't worth modifying their price point for bolts/screws that may have one set or no sets used! I used 4 toggle bolts with proper size and stove heads plus 2 stacked washers (1 std and 1 fender) of proper size and thickness to provide best holding power. So literally less than $10 hardware purchase at the local hardware store for the right pieces for my use case!

Very good for a budget minded rack.
Does it's job well. Fairly easy to assemble and provides adequate security for the cost. Ventilation is very good. Recommended. Not tremendously well-built, but again, very good for a budget minded rack.

Bang for the buck
This cabinet has a lot of bang for the buck. It was easy to assemble, mounted well, and seems to be of good quality. It came with one fan, I order a second fan along with an extra shelf and additional hardware to screw the shelves in. Unlike it, it locks, is of a good size and I would buy it again.

Good but could be better
I love the rack but i feel like they could have made it more possible to accept deeper servers by making a removable back panel on the back plate, there is only one fan with very poorly assembled wiring that had to be giggled to get working at first and the adhesive that sticks the wire connectors was completely gone on arrival they should provide both fans and where to get replacement fans at the very least, i feel the rack mount pillars were a bit cheaply made as they flex very easily and thus i had to mount my r630 on the very bottom to keep it safe they also should include more options for lock types or handle types i got an rfid cabinet lock to try and use for the door but unfortunately its not even possible to mount it in the case with the lack of areas for the lock to mount not even a standard server rack handle could fit due to the locking style and one last thing with there having been a power coord for the fans i feel it could be a good idea just to include a pdu for the rack for very cheap thankfully i had one from an old band gear case to use that saved me another $80, overall it works and i like it just feel there could be some better future proofing and customization ability

A nice enclosure!
This NavePoint rack is a solid choice for smaller server rooms or home labs. The glass door is a nice touch for visibility, and the cooling fan helps keep things running smoothly. Assembly was a bit of a puzzle, but once it was up, it felt sturdy. The removable side panels make it easy to access equipment. Overall, happy with the purchase!
