Very quiet
Very quiet, cools the room quickly, The big bad boy works and is great. The size is fine for our room possibly a little big for a smaller room. The design is nice and slim

Better than a normal fan
It's not a substitute for an air conditioning unit, but it is better than a regular fan that merely moves around hot air. The supplied freeze blocks chill the water (you could use ice cubes) and the air is pleasantly cooled. Have used it in a conservatory that gets very hot in the summer, it won't cool the conservatory as would a suitable a/c unit, but if you position it in front of where you are sitting it does give a nice cool breeze. There are several controls on the unit, Wind Speed, of which there are three speeds, Air Swing, the vanes move from side to side, Wind Type, it says there are three settings, Normal Wind, Sleep Wind and Natural Wind, but I think there is only really two options, Sleep Wind and Natural Wind, but the Normal Wind is just the lowest fan speed. The lowest fan speed would be OK for a bedroom, I think it is quiet enough. There is a Timer/Reservation option, which I haven't tried, I think it is 1hr, 2hr and 4hr. Manual says you can set start up and shutdown times, however, the manual is a bit confusing! There's a Cool Wind button, this is where the cooled water from the tank is used. There is an On/Off switch also. A remote is provided but no AAA batteries are supplied. Manual says not to use rechargeable, manganese or alkaline batteries only. Only had it two days and very happy with it, certainly makes working in a hot conservatory a lot easier.

It did arrive damaged but working otherwise. Very good product otherwise!
I'll have to hand it to Amazon on this one. It arrived OK but upon unpacking was unfortunately damaged on the base of it. I contacted customer service and provided a photo showing the damage. I was compensated OK! I'm hoping to repair the damage and use it some more soon. Now as for the product... It's all working OK and is very effective for the hot weather. It's not refrigerative air con using a compressor, but uses latent heat of vaporisation from cold water in the tank being pumped over an absorbing material with air passing through it. It's certainly quieter than true air con and uses way less power. Ideal for on the landing to cool bedrooms and okay to bring downstairs to cool the lounge. It has a remote control and is very easy to use. I can move it with care if I need it to other rooms in the house.

Easy to use but only a little cooler than a normal fan
If you fill the tank with cold water, along with the ice packs (ice cubes may help too), then the effect appears to be a little cooler than a normal fan.But if you’re looking for the cold temperature of a normal air conditioning unit, you will not find this, and nor will it cool the whole room.(An installed air conditioning system is obviously much more expensive: indoor unit + outdoor unit + pipework + labour)Remember, the hot air in the room is not really going anywhere (unless you open a window).Nonetheless, for the price of £99.99 for the 5L version, it’s an okay purchase. The airflow (in cooling mode of course) feels pleasant when it’s blowing on you.

This works really well.
There is nothing to dislike about this product it works so well once set up which is very easy to do. It’s amazing the cool air that comes out of the tower. You can sit in comfort even thought it’s very warm outside if you are like me cannot stand to much heat this tower is the answer.Low noise good value for money the remote is very easy to use,can easily be moved from room to room but probably when the water level is low or empty. But very good all round.
