Super fast delivery! Perfect fit for my John Deere Z970R. Quick & Easy install. Comes with hardware. Only cons are that it doesn’t come have a lumbar adjustment, & that it’s expensive. Otherwise no complaints. Very comfortable ride

Great seat, not perfect
Purchased from Amazon 08-May-2023.I have five bumpy, mole infested acres and a beat-up Hustler Raptor SD with 20" drive tires. The first time I mowed with this seat I did the whole thing in one night which I almost never do, and no back pain and nothing numb the next day. This is huge because I have nerve impingement from bulged lumbar discs as well as bulged, herniated, and ruptured cervical discs. 5 acres in one night and no pain or numbness with this seat is pretty amazing. The deck interlock switch from the Hustler Raptor SD fits this seat and works as it should.Cons:*Weight is listed at 62#. I’ve had powered car seats with side airbags that weigh less than 62#.*The angle of the back and bottom should be adjustable and it would be very easy to make some minor changes to the seat to make it manually adjustable by loosening and re-tightening some bolts.*The arm rests are too long but can be easily shortened and still look factory and it really makes me wonder why they didn't account for that from the factory. My sticks hit the armrests when reversing and I have to flip the arm rests up which is actually a huge hassle with a ZT mower. I'm sure it'll void the warranty but for almost $800 a one-year warranty is a joke anyway. The steel arm rest can be cut back ~2" easily and new holes can be drilled for the pad, and that's exactly what I'm going to do.*One year warranty. Really? That’s not the sign of a company that believes in their own product.*Seat back height is not adjustable. This is critical for people that are beat up like I am because the curves in the seat aren’t in the right place for me. I'm going to raise the seat back an inch to start, again, very easy to do and would be simple for them to design this into the seat. All it would take is a bit longer tab where it bolts on and extra holes with weld nuts.*The seat back should have an adjustable angle and the design is almost dumbfounding in this respect. All aspects of the design are there to make the back angle adjustable but then there's a weld on each side that prevents it. Almost like the original design had an adjustable back angle and they decided those extra few steps would cut into profit too much so they just decided to weld it in place.*The deck interlock switch is very difficult to install. They give you very, very little room to install it. Again, a very minor, no-cost change to the design would make it simple to install the interlock switch in the seat, but for some reason they designed it for a very advanced 2 year old to install, much like EJ25 spark plugs.A better option may be to buy their suspension base and use a seat that you know fits you. Have a car that's perfect? Get a seat from a junkyard and mount it on their suspension. If you don’t have that capability, this seat is a great option.

Game changer JD 2010 Z950A
Likes: Suspension is great, adjust to your weight and mow. It’s very similar to the John Deere suspension seat. I did have to ream out two of the holes on the seat base with a stepper drill bit as the alignment of the seat studs were 1/8” off no big deal. The stock shut off switch on the bottom of the seat went in just like the video shows and works as it should. Installation was 10 minutes. The seat is very well built and finished. The adjustable arm rests work great and do no interfere with my control sticks. This seat improved my headaches and body soreness by 200% as I am mowing 9 semi rough acres at my property.Dislikes: None for now. Time will tell on the durability of the vinyl.Overall: If you are on the fence about the cost, Just buy it, you will not regret it as it can prevent future medical problems/Bills in the future and will improve your mowing experience. A cheaper option is to buy the suspension base and attach your stock seat to it. I liked the look of this seat better and felt that it would be easier to install which it was.

Perfect fit. Easy install.
This seat is game changer on my JD 915B. Was going to trade mowers, but seat upgrade made that unnecessary!

Very comfortable
Replaced the base seat on our JDZ950R with this seat. Wow, what a difference! This is a very comfortable seat and it smooths out the jolting bumps, total game changer. Only issue was that it didn't line up perfectly, back bolts were slightly off.

Great seat! Just wish it had more rearward travel
A game changer!! I have a John deere 997 and the 997 with the standard seat . And 28 acres to mow beats my body up. I had to open up the the mounting holes to get it to mount up. Took it for a test ride and it felt amazing over the bumps. My only Con is the seat doesn't go back far enough for my size. I will end up remounting the seat rear ward. Or having to adjust my control leavers farther forward. To get the mower to go backwards I have to pull the bars into my stomach a ways. . Other than that it's a win for me. I'm 5ft 9 240lbsUpdate I was able to move the sticks forward . And that corrected the seat needing to go back issue. So all is good with this seat !!
