Does exactly what I needed it to do
No complaints. It does precisely what I needed it to do.I have a late-2015 2.8 GHz iMac with a slightly cracked screen. I didn't relish the thought of pulling the glass to get inside in order to replace the hard drive with an SSD for fear of breaking it completely (the damage is barely visible, in the upper left corner, but these screens use adhesive instead of magnets to keep them in place), and I didn't want to deal with temperature sensors and other proprietary bits when putting in a $20 SSD into an old computer that set me back less than $100.I have a CalDigit Thunderbolt 2 docking station which has a pair of eSATA ports and I wanted a simple solution to get an SSD working more reliably and at a faster speed that could be accomplished using USB3. This cable easily let me hook up a drive using the hardware I had and it has performed flawlessly. The computer is nice and stable, the drive speeds are quick, and I can easily swap drives should I have the desire to mess with another version of MacOS (or even Windows). This cable was the missing link needed to breath life into a solid, albeit dented and damaged, older computer and give it several more years of useful life.

The cable is quite stiff, works fine function wise
works fine other than the cable being very stiff / rigid.

Good for eSATA port Routers
As far as I can tell, this cable kind of splits the eSATA from the power requirement from the eSATAp protocol. Works good for my router that has a eSATA port.

Work's great
Plugged it in and it works.Pros:*Just a cable not an external case.*Uses USB port for power.*Great for upgrading a drive or converting to ssd.Cons:*Just a cable not an external case.*Uses USB port for power. This is a great little chord. I bought this to install Windows on a USFF computer. You may want a external case to protect the drive for more permanent installation. I didn't test transfer rates but it performed faster than USB.
