Product good, support poor.
I purchased the ST341U based on the main description stating 2x20TB drive support. After placing the order I noticed further down in the descriptions it states 2x16TB. I decided to check the Wavlink webpage for this model and it states 2x10TB!Decided to call Wavlink support and surprisingly was immediately connected to tech support. That was the extent of competency. The person with whom I spoke knew nothing of the product. I actually walked him through each page containing differing specs. The response was simply "I don't know what to tell you". He first said to go with 10TB based on the manufacturers webpage then decided on 16TB based on Amazon's description. In the end he asked for my e-mail address and said the concern would be forwarded to the tech department, I have yet to receive reply. That was the bad -- Now for the good. When the doc arrived I decided to test it with a pair of formatted but unused 18TB drives. Both drives (when connect either alone or simultaneously) each displayed full capacity of 16.37TB binary (equal to 18TB decimal). In use the docking station delivers all the speed expected from a USB3.0 connection, this, while having tested it in read/write operations with at least six different HDDs (no SSD test) that range from new to twelve years old and in the full gamut of capacities. All drives were a little tight fitting onto the terminals but I would not consider that a negative. Fit and finish is good while the plastic construction feels solid. I've seen a few complaints about the bay doors failing but see no issue or reason for impending concern.I've only had it a couple days so will refrain from commenting on expected dependability. Based on this short experience though I would recommend it but with the caveat that if you need any technical assistance or other product support from Wavlink you may be left wanting.

Best bet for cloning drives.
This is a great way to duplicate OS HDDs or SSDs. I bought it specifically to clone WinXP drives to SSDs (takes a little extra work, solutions online) because working with XP, cloning software is hard to find. This lets you clone any drive without expensive software. The LEDs are only visible from directly above... poor design choice. My solution was to cut a narrow strip of matte Scotch Tape and place it over the LEDs. The lights are now visible from the front. I'm going to look at short pieces of fiber optic in the holes for a more permanent solution. But for cloning hard drives, this is the best bet.

Does what it says, but not how it says.
I got this primarily for cloning harddrives. Large drives. The instruction book is rubbish. It lists the process very wrong. Its close enough that if you are slightly capable you'll figure it out, but even if you've done it before you'll sit there going "Am I sure I did that right?"There are included "mounting" screws, but I am not sure what design they were given for hard drive screw placements. But.. They locked into place pretty tight, and transferred 14 terra in roughly 16 hours. So it did what its advertised to do.

Don't use for anything you actually want to save.
Constantly looses connection with HD resulting in loss of data.

Solid piece by a trusted company
We use wavlink products where I work (media), and while this dock wasn’t for work, I knew it’d be a solid product for my hobbies. The station feels well built and weighty, boots up fast, and has no issues moving files between my PC and SATA drives. Definitely recommend.

read instruction , is a must.
Drive unit works well , meets all stated operational requirements, both copy, and storage requirements.
