Excellent in every way
I love the 24hr battery life, stereo connectivity, sound quality & loudness, low end bass response, and durability.I have 2 of these & they pair perfectly with my LG Cinebeam Q projector for a stunning stereo home theatre experience. I took this setup on my honeymoon and we projected the screen on every ceiling. Incredible & definitely worth it.

Works/sounds even better when 2 are paired up in stereo
Nice sound from one, but pair 2 in stereo it's even better!

Almost a JBL killer
I own the PK7 the PL7 and now the XG7. Out of the three my PK7 is still the best sounding of the LGs I own. It's a larger and heavier speaker with two stereo woofers and tweeters. It is not the loudest though, this new XG7 is the loudest and it comes very close in terms of sound quality. At low volumes this speaker has more bass and I would say sounds better. Once you crank it up this speaker gets louder for sure but the bass becomes lost and the highs begin to border on harsh where the PK7 really shines at louder volumes with nice hard hitting bass. The PL7 was just a dissapointment to me in every way. I almost did not get the XG7 because of how much I disliked the PL7.What changed my mind was how much I enjoy the JBL Charge 5. You see it opted for a racetrack woofer and tweeter. The XG7 went away from the PL7s two small stereo woofers and opted for the same racetrack woofer and tweeter as JBL. Despite only being mono it sounds much better. It actually has a greater frequency range than the Charge 5. When I did some bass frequency tests it was able to go about 5hz lower than the JBL. When listening to music though the JBL has a slight edge in overall bass quality. The LG just has too much of a v shaped sound and really lacks the mids. I am using the sound boost mode mind you which when switching to standard it does give a nice flatter response that I think sounds better overall at louder volumes (no harshness) but I just love my bass and with the sound boost turned off it can't produce the same sub bass. This brings up my biggest complaint. Sound boost is the best at low to mid volumes. Standard is better at high volumes to avoid bleeding ears. Hey what's that LG has an app with an EQ? Well knowing how much soundcore and tribit speakers can be improved by custom EQs let's try that here so i can tune it to greatness. Oh no... I don't know what LG did but this is the worst custom EQ adjustment I have come across. First of all just selecting custom causes it to sound like someone is muffling the speaker with their hand over it. The lowest bass slider goes down to 90hz... even turning that up has little effect. If LG was going to add a custom EQ option this bad they would have been better off not providing one at all.How does it compare to other speakers, well the bose soundlink flex is worse in every way except maybe size. The tribit maxsound plus is close but not as good while being smaller. Soundcore motion boom has the best sub bass while being a bit larger and not as good with mids or highs. The motion boom plus is the largest and outclasses every speaker mentioned here mainly because of its size and the fact that it is a marriage between the boom and motion plus.If I did not own the Charge 5 this would have been my favorite at the size and price. If LG can somehow fix their awful custom EQ then I think this speaker has the potential to surpass JBl that also has a custom EQ which is even more limited yet doesn't ruin the sound it just let's you tweak it.Weight is much lighter than the PL7 and roughly the same as the charge 5. Size is slightly longer but close to the same as the charge 5.Now for what everyone cares about in a bluetooth speaker the most right, the rgb lights! Whooo! It's a nice subtle ring around the bass radiators and in the app there are a ton of lighting options to choose from. Yeah it's nice, I do like rgb lights on bluetooth speakers, but they did remove the light button in this newest iteration so it seems the only way to turn them off completely is through the app.I did get it on sale for $149 which feels like a good price for this speaker considering how close it is to the Charge 5 in quality. All in all an excellent step in the right direction for LG from the PL7. It has the potential to surpass my current favorite JBL Charge 5 with a software update but is currently relegated to second favorite. If you like a flatter sound, then in standard mode you may actaully prefer this over the JBl. A top tier speaker at this size.

Excelente sonido
