Yes, it engraves metals,the softer the metal, the deeper it will cut, which makes it good for aluminium and mild steel, but useless on custard..

Q: Hello. Can this be used for making holes in glass bottles ?( turning them into lamps)

No I don't think that you could cut a hole in glass with this tool as it just vibrates, you would need the DREMEL rotary tool, or similar, with a glass drill bit attached.I hope this has been helpful
