CHiPs: Season 2 [DVD] [1977] [2008]

Season two carries on in the same fashion as season one, but with a new addition to the team: Officer Sindy Cahill, who sometimes joins the motorcycle patrol in a patrolcar. Bright and bubbly Francis "Ponch" Poncherello and easy-going Jon Baker patrol the California highways, while trying not to incur the wrath of Sgt Getraer.The men face many varied and challenging situations in the line of duty, including: escorting a convoy of volatile chlorine gas, an Halloween patrol, a pot smoking gang out for revenge against the two buddies, and the department finds itself in disease quarantine. The stories are a great blend of drama and cheerful humour.Apart from all 22 season two episodes, the two special features are a feature-length episode "The Greatest Adventures Of CHiPs", in which Jon and Ponch's exploits in season one and two are remembered, and a featurette, "The Real CHiPs" with Erik Estrada.Picture and sound quality are good. The soundtrack languages are: English, German, Italian.The subtitle languages are: English, Dutch, German, Italian.Three of the four discs are double-sided, and are stored in a single-size case.

It was a real treat seeing this series again. The bikes and action are great. Also the stories are good fun and the actors do their job well. It is a light-hearted show, but we all need that sometimes, especially in recent times. I hope that seasons 3-6 and the reunion tv movie ChiPs 99 are also released soon, as it seems to be taking a long time. The DVDs in this set are double-sided, unlike season 1, which I think was a good decision, as it means the overall package is smaller and takes up less shelf space. It just means you have to be a bit more careful when handling the disks, which is no problem. This is a great show, which is worth watching and always cheers me up. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I have bought this DVD set because I just loved watching Chips in the late seventies early eighties, I had a huge crush on Erik Estrada. The series is a great series and I never get tired of watching the series I have watched the first season and currently watching season two which I love and just loved the extra episode with clips from the first two seasons, I also loved the documentary which Erik Estrada did where some of the real CHP officers were interviewed and also shown around the CHP station. I am very pleased with the purchase and will be buying the other three seasons of Chips.Laura Lambert

Possibly a bit outdated by today's modern Police dramas but I loved the series when it was on TV but missed a lot of episodes so great to have them on DVD.Very informative and interesting stories (if a bit overdramatised) of the different duties involved of being a CHP Patrol officer as well as having to be a regular Police Officer

Chips is a Real Favourite of mine from my younger growing up years and it is great to be able to see Jon and Ponch in action again on the California Freeways.The storylines were so simple and un-complicated.I Would give the Chips Season 2 DVD which i purchased at Amazon.co.uk Top Marks along with other Chips Series DVD'S(I.E.Series 1)Which i have also.Give yourself a trip down memory lane and Buy any of the Chips Series DVD'S,you'll be glad you did!

excellent dvd series! if you loved chips when you were you were younger you'll still love them now the're great! john and punch are fab! i used to fancy john, but i think i prefer punch now! my taste buds must be changing! chips is fantastic!!!!! the music the cars the whole atmosphere, much better than the rubbish on the television today! its a must have in my dvd collection.

A good 2nd sesson with the episode I recreated with my toys M.A.T.E team with the truck and car accident back when I was around 7years old or 8years old when I watched it
