Bothy Threads Cross Stitch Kit - Love Tree

Gorgeous cross stitch pattern - I made it for my sister's wedding with their names and the date, and they both loved it. I really enjoyed making it as well.

Love Tree has been my first cross stitch and I'm so pleased I chose it. The colours are very pretty and it's so satisfying to do. I'm just about finished with the back-stitching, and so just a little detail to go (I'm putting in my family's names instead of the words 'love') and then it's a quick hand-wash and then the beads and sequins to go. The outlining of the flowers and butterflies in brown has made it look just wow, and all the little details are so sweet. I'll be sad when it's all over, but I can't wait to have it framed!There has been more than enough thread (I was careful, although I did have to do a couple of unpickings) on the conveniently labelled thread card. The brown back-stitching is done in a single strand and there's loads left. I made a few mistakes with counting the spaces (drinking wine and yapping with family didn't help with the concentration - but that's my fault, not the design's!).Very enjoyable and great value for money

Great kit and my first cross stitch attempt for my Mum`s 80th birthday - I am adding all our family names to make it our Family Tree - easy to follow stitch chart. Only problem I've experienced is the silver thread splitting and then it's difficult to thread through the needle. Lovely colours and great design.

Only biy Bothy Threads cross stitch kits / they are amazing, packed exceptionally well and easy to do. Highly recommended.

**Edit** I bought a genuine Bothy Threads kit. Check the seller. If it's coming from China it is a fake and terrible quality. I've seen a few in the cross stitch groups I'm in. Please make sure you buy genuine products. Amazon need to do something about this.This was my first cross stitch. It's a beautiful pattern.You get everything you need to complete it. The design is so clear and easy to read. It also has seperate pages for the back stitching guide. It really has been so carefully thought out and put together. I think all Bothy Threads' kits are the same.The metallic thread was a bit of a nightmare but if you tie a little knot in it it stops it splitting.I added some names to mine as it's a wedding present.I would highly recommend this.

I have just unsealed the package to start the cross stitch, and found these dead bugs inside the folded instructions. Very offputting.

Really enjoyable. Excellent instructions, really easy to follow (though I made a few mistakes but mostly because I made it 20 days - with a full time job!). I edited a little to add the names of my niece’s children. The colours are vibrant and there is more than enough thread. The fabric is good quality.Really loved making it.
