It works for my Whippet
I have a whippet who is 1 1/2 years old. He can get super crazy at times, and he doesn't love getting his nails shortened so I used to give him the soft chew version of this product. But, after we discovered that our pup is allergic to brewers yeast- we couldn't give him the chews anymore. Since they helped him relax during nail grooming time, I really wanted to find something similar to give to him. I know the chews worked because we did try to do his nails after we stopped giving them to him, and we could barely get through it. We was jumpy and wiggling all over the place. I ended up buying a few other brands of calming tablets, but nothing else worked the same and all similar soft chews contained brewers yeast. Finally, I found the liquid version of the original chew and bought it right away. I thought it would be an issue trying to get him to take the liquid, but shockingly- he LOVES it! I just pour some into a spoon and he licks it clean. Now when we do his nails he calmly lays on my boyfriend's lap while I dremel his nails in peace. I can safely say that this product worked for us. And in case you're concerned- it doesn't knock my dog out or make him loopy or anything like that. It really just calms him down. I will say it's quite expensive- but I think it's worth it to get my puppy to chill out once in awhile.

It WORKS... But My Cat HATES IT
It just WORKS.My cat has some situation aggression and is grumpy, she has attacked with her teeth before and she can be very unpredictable. When she is laying on my at night and I try to move, she decides that I morally offended her and she begins chomping on me through the blankets.Last year I took her to a vet, they did labs, she's healthy and fine but she's just... super sensitive and she lashes out with aggression. He recommended the Composure Pro Treats and we bought them, fed them to her and she liked them... for a while. Then she decided that she HATED them and refused to have anything to do with them and she tried burying them. While she was eating them... blessed little kitty. She was much more calm and reacted to disappointment much better. She was very sweet and didn't use her teeth for anything other than eating and nibbling her toes.Once she stopped with the treats, the aggression came back.I bought the liquid because I thought it might be easier to sneak it into her food as it claims it is "tasteless", comparing the ingredients they are the SAME thing so I knew it would work if only I could get it down her throat.... It is NOT tasteless or odorless. She saw through the ruse immediately and tried burying her food, wouldn't touch it. Okay, time for the big guns. I tried administering it through a dropper so she could slowly lick it down. .... She spit it all up. Now she runs whenever she sees the bottle. She hates it, but it works so good if only you can get your pet to eat it.

Ineffective and MESSY.
This did absolutely nothing to help my new kitten and cat adjust to each other. The new kitten is an almost feral rescue that had to have an eye removed so she’s afraid and wants to fight everything. My adult cat didn’t take very well to that attitude and will sneak up on the kitten just to smack her a few times or chase her under the furniture. I have gone through the entire bottle (it lasted about two months) and there was absolutely no change in either of them. I have tried every suggestion and training technique I have heard of or read, even reintroducing them, but nothing has worked so far. The kitten is still super crazy and my adult cat is still pissed off about it. Neither of them are any calmer than before and the only thing I have achieved is getting my hands and counters full of the nasty white liquid that leaks EVERYWHERE from the top of the bottle. You have to pour it out to measure it, but it’s thick and gooey so when you put the top back on, it seaps through the cracks and runs all down the bottle and onto whatever the bottle is on. I wiped it off with a paper towel multiple times, but it leaves a stinky residue that will get on your hads and counter any time you touch it.

I am not writing a bad review. I have had friends recommend this product ...
I am not writing a bad review. I have had friends recommend this product and they have received great results on their little dogs with high anxiety. My dog Clifford is a small dog. He doesn't do well with lightning or firecrackers. I bought this product in time to try a couple days before 4th of July, Perfectly there was a lot of thunder & lightning a couple days prior. I think it took a little edge off him, but he still shook and was in hiding terrified. The night before 4th of July and 4th of July night he was a mess. I gave the recommended dosage and a second dose as recommended on the bottle for extra stressful times, in hope it would help him. He was a mess, I thought he was dieing, lol. So unfortunately, I cant say it helped him. I guess I'm going to have to get something from the vet.

Appears to have worked
After reading multiple reviews, I went with this liquid over other products for my 80# Borzoi/Greyhound. Had it rushed shipped in time for July 4th, with one day preview for allergy/side effect testing before the "big day." The dog actually liked the taste and ate it soaked into some bread easily. He then had a nap within 1 hr of consuming. On July 4th, he had pain meds in the am, and Composure in chicken and broth at 5pm. He remained relaxed during the majority of fireworks til around 10pm. Then he freaked out...gave a smaller dose with remainder of chicken, but he was still frantic. Pros: Seemed to have worked. I will keep trying. At the very least, it DOES appear to take the edge off. Con: The smell!! Reviews appeared that liquid vs. pills seemed to work quicker, but get this goo on your hands and it stays with you :( I also tasted it myself. Completely vile, but hey, the dog liked it, and its safe, unlike pharmaceutical anti-anxiety medications
