I can attest to the device’s functionality . It is virtually instant, the probe is long enough to avoid injury from steam or spattering oil. It is unfailingly acurate and even with regular use, after almost 18 mos. i’ve yet to change the batteries. The Thermopro Lightning is, dollar for dollar, an invaluable kitchen tool. Quick, accurate, easy to calibrate. I use it many times a day for baby formula and it's showing no signs of wear beyond a few scratches on the screen that don't impact readability. The hinge for the arm is difficult to clean, but there's not many reasons food would get in there to begin with

I should give it 4 stars because the battery was dead but this thing is amazing which is why I’m giving it 5. I’ve tried other meat probes, this is my 2nd ThermoPro and I love the instant temp read. I’ll probably buy 2 more, another one for me and one to give as a gift. I’m really loving these ThermoPro products.

I bought this for my husband since he loves to cook and he ABSOLUTELY loves this! It is so quick and accurate & easy to clean. I would definitely recommend. The numbers for the temperature are bight LED, which makes it easy to read. The storage is nice since it just folds up we put it in our drawer. I would rate this high for durability since we have used this for over a year now. The price is affordable for a quick and digital thermometer.

This item worked great and my steaks tasted even better with the instant reading. When I put the thermometer in the steak I thought it was lying about how quickly the meat had cooked but it was correct and my medium rare steak was perfect.

Only four stars due to unit needed to be calibrated out of the box👎 also poor battery supplied after that seems good.
