These are a step above Tonicas and Dominants, several steps above student strings.
First of all, for a synthetic string these are pretty stable. There is the usual two day process of retuning as they stretch into place, but stretch is not excessive. Second, they are bright but not too bright, midrange between focused and complex, loud but not overly loud. They don't sound scratchy nor tinny like student strings, give a good full sound.I especially like the E string which is not squeaky, not tinny, not dull. This appears to be the same or very similar E as in the Oliv set, gold plated to change the overtone spectrum and response. You’d expect the gold to rub off quickly but it doesn’t and the string lasts through a lot of playing.

Wonderful set of strings
I am a violinist and orchestra teacher. I use these strings on my own professional violin. I have tried other strings, but I always seem to come back to these strings. They sound great on my instrument.

A bright sound
The type of string really influences the sound that I get from my violin. It depends on what you want. If you want a brighter, more crisp sound, this is the way to go.

Terrible
If I could give it cero star I would. The packaging was a mess. The strings were clearly old and the E string was not good steel. When I took one string out I could see it already peeling without even trying to put it on my violin. I returned them. Terrible experience

Great strings on my violin - but might not be suitable for every violin
First and foremost, before you base purchase decisions on reviews, please remember that every single violin will respond differently to different strings.I have a cheap-ish 2007 make, but it was specifically designed to emulate the warmth and depth that much older instruments have, and it has a HUGE input range for bow pressure - I can play feather-light for a kind-of whispery sound on most sets of strings (perfect for an orchestra pianissimo), but I can also dig in harder than I'd ever even try on most other instruments without producing a scratching tone. As such, Evah Pirazzis work great on my violin - I changed my strings from Dominants to Pirazzis specifically for three performances last December through May, and the musicians I worked with said that there was a noticeable improvement in tone. They ARE very bright, and I can clearly pick my violin's sound out from an orchestra's sound when I watch videos of those three performances. So just be aware that if your instrument is already very bright (usually newer / more modern-made ones are), these strings may be too screechy for you! These don't last very long with regular play. My strings barely lasted me the year, and I only play three to four hours a week on average. So if you're looking for strings that will hold up to regular practice, like 1+ hours every day, these probably aren't the right strings for you. I've heard stories where people have to replace these strings after two months, which is infeasible at the price point.

Wow!
I have a high end violin with a dark haunting tone with lots of projection. When I tuned up these Evah Pirazzi strings the low notes were even darker and louder. Very gutsy. The upper range is mellow, not screechy at all. These strings are expensive but well worth the money. I can’t believe the tone I’m getting now.

Great quality
High quality strings with good tone. Expect a day or two to "break in" the strings. You will need to tune frequently for a couple days but they become quite stable after that. I have used metal, synthetic, and gut strings and these so far are the best buy I have made.
