The Art of Loish: A Look Behind the Scenes

This book is just amazing, open receiving it and opening you know it is something special, as you are presented with the book in a stylish slip case in the colour of a manila envelope (You know, the same colour as the Amazon parcel boxes).This book covers Loish's work as a teenager at school which is a mixed subject matter including her version of the Van Gough self portrait. This lady's current work is like the Victorian English images of 'Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden', these these fairies are very modern fairies in the style of current pop stars like Taylor Swift, Rita Ora or should I say it Pixie Lott, (LOL) but with the influence large cute eyed female Japanese characters from comic books.I really think this is an artist that many who are not artists would love to own and treasure in there personal library.This is not a technical on art like vanishing point perspective or the Golden Mean of the Renaissance Era and all that. Being an easy read with loads of fantastic illustrations.I highly recommend for artists or non-artists. A nice book for a nice relaxing read!

This book is so inspiring, it's full of beautiful artwork, with details of the artists journey into digital art, lesson's she learnt along the way and there's some mini tutorials at the end of the book. It's part bio, part advise and part tutorials and the layout and design make this book a pleasure to hold and read. The packaging of the book reminds me of how they make art work for vinyl records, comes in a nice card sleeve. I will treasure this book for many years to come. If you love art, are curious about how artists work you'll love this book.

Beautiful book, very cheep. Well worth my money. Wasn't expecting, but it has some walk thoughts of the process behind some of the peices aswell as a tips section. Always a nice suprise :D I couldn't recommend this book more.

Simply one of the biggest referents as an illustrator

Such a beautiful book, I first found Loish on Instagram and have loved her art since. It's so nice to have a book of her work with some of her drawings as they progressed in it. Also, I really like that this book is printed on matte pages which make it easier to see the images clearly.

Good book and interested to see and inspiration to draw

Loish is one of my favourite artists and I could hardly wait for this book to come out. Loved the art but also the way the book was put together. Excellent quality too!

Loish es una gran referencia para ser ilustradora o ilustrador, tiene mucha soltura en sus trabajos, gracias a ella estoy aprendiendo a dibujar. Sus libros tienen bocetos que son utiles para darte una idea como esbozar tus propios personajes. Ademas, su paleta de colores son una gran referencia para colorear vuestros dibujos. Que puedo decir, Loish no puede faltar en tu librero y computadora para un ilustrador que se inicia.Por otro lado, Amazon envio a tiempo el producto y no esta maltratado el libro, eso habla bien de la plataforma. Ni en Librerias Gandhi conseguia en esas condiciones los libros. Sin duda los americanos y europeos, tienen una delicadeza en el manejo de los libros, los entregan de una forma intacta.
