I don’t know what an octopus has to do with Christmas, but this is one of the most spectacular baubles in our vast and growing collection. It is a colourful high-quality Christmas Octopus bauble that is a little bigger than I expected. It was not cheap in particular as we had to order it from overseas.But it came intact in a lovely decorated box that instantly gets you in the mood. Also it was wrapped with plenty of protective paper. The bauble itself is detailed and nicely decorated. As a modern baubles it is relatively sturdy, more so than the classic thin ones.Most of our baubles are in a bit of a classic/vintage, semi-Victorian style. These combined leads to a very full, colourful but super impressive and cheerful Christmas tree. Most guests are in total awe when they see our tree and spend minutes checking out the curiosities. And of course it provides for hours of excitement when we put it up with the children.

OK, so I get it that an octopus enveloping the globe in its tentacles this is not everyone's idea of an appropriate Christmas ornament (and probably quite terrifying if you psychoanalyse the imagery). But - if you're like us, who adopt an 'everything but the kitchen sink' approach to decorating, and use the Christmas tree as a celebration of your family's interests and achievements - then this is pretty well ideal.Our son qualified as a scuba diver earlier in the year, and was lucky enough to see an octopus on his most recent dive. So this was an obvious addition to our tree to celebrate his achievement, and when he finally leaves home and has a Christmas tree of his own, this will form part of his 'core collection'.In terms of quality, this is a beautifully designed and very well made ornament that's well worth the money. Admittedly it's not to everyone's taste, but if you're into 'quirky' and want to include a marine element to your tree, then it is great. Highly recommended!

Very pretty on the tree what you cant see from the photo is the detailing and sparkle which continues round the back with the starfish in her hair , waited a few weeks for it to come from the USA although rather disappointing that despite the claims these are traditionally made that are in fact made in china

Another winner from Old World, I love this little crocodile, I did draw a thin black line to show the shape of his teeth (easy to do) as otherwise they were just a white mass even though the definition is clearly there, now he looks perfect, I am very pleased with him, 5 stars!

The best quality glass ornaments you can get, I have many from high street and department stores, none compare to the detail and quality control of these.

Our 7yr old is Manatee crazy! We found this on Amazon by sheer accident and ordered it straight away. It's gorgeous, the detail on it, is spot on and he now graces our Christmas Tree and we had a very happy little boy when he opened the box!

Given as a cast gift to the director of “The Seagull”. It turns out he collects glass ornaments. He LOVED this. It brought him tremendous joy. A lovely ornament at a good price.
