Best gel for curly hair. Not too sticky. A little crunchy when dry. Just scrunch the dry hair and you’ll have soft bouncy hair. Best if used with the three step shampoo, conditioner and all in one leave in product.

The only curl get I used to use was Living Proof Defining Gel, which is hard to find now. This is every bit as effective! I love it - lightweight, not sticky or stiff, and it really defines my curls/waves. Highly recommend!

I bought this product on recommendation from a curly hair expert.I have softer curls and very heavy hair.While the product smells good, it does weigh my hair down. I would like it to be lighter for better results.It doesn't really make a cast and does keep the frizz away, but not really good for those who do not have a tighter curl.It works best if I add water to my hands, emulsify it and then apply it.

Love this product. Easy to use and my hair is shiny and feels soft. Holds the curl like a dream. Adds volume and makes my hair soft and managable.

I have 2b/c curls, and have lost some hair over the past few years due to menopause and a low thyroid, so it's not as thick as it used to be. This gel is perfect for my thinning, yet course, wavy/curly hair. It holds my curl so well (in conjunction with a curl creme, which I apply first), helps with frizz, and it doesn't weigh my hair down. It also mixes well with my favorite curl creme by Curlsmith. On refresh days, I mix a little of both products in my hand, emulsify with just a little water, and scrunch it into damp hair, then diffuse. I've tried many different gels over the years, and this is definitely my favorite!!

I have coily hair, dry, and graying. This gel did not hold much of the coils and seemed to be a bit greasey. Smelled nice.

The bombardment of Instagram ads had me questioning the hype, but I'm glad I gave this a try. For anyone searching like me out there- I have mid-long 2b/2c hair where ringlets form toward the bottom. I was one of those people who couldn't understand why my straight-ish hair was just so puffy, dry at the ends, and overall difficult to manage even with great products, until at 35 I finally realized my hair is curly! So my challenge is balancing hold and softness- I can get some great ringlets to form closer to my roots with strong hold gel, but they don't tend to stay as soft throughout the day and get that "product" feel because my hair is so fine. And it's just too many steps (wetting, clumping, plopping, scrunching, hours to air dry) for it to be so easy for my curls to stretch or frizz out (hello 2b, a few min outside on a windy day is sometimes all it takes). Some days I don't want to try so hard to help my curls form and I was looking for a way to simplify. Using this gel after the all-in-one styler is becoming my go-to. It does not maximize my curls, but it allows me to style with more basic brushing techniques and without starting from sopping wet, and it still gives me defined and soft curl without weighing down the ringlets that do want to form. The frizz protection is pretty good with the all-in-one as a great moisturizing base and the gel forms a decent cast. What frizz does come over time is easily "calmed" with a little water. After months of products, tactics, and time looking to embrace my curl, I was starting to think maybe straightening again isn't so bad. But this product combination has really simplified things and gives me soft, shiny, and almost weightless curls I can be confident about. It's not 100% perfect for me, but I'm giving this 5 stars because it does exactly what it promised.
