OXOGood Grips Scoop - # 40 - Soft Grip

I was tempted to buy a cheaper scoop but then remembered I have done that a few times already and non of them have worked as I wanted them to. I am very pleased to say that the extra money spent buying this has paid off and I can now get rid of the others.After watching many different recipe videos where people have used scoops to measure out biscuit mixtures and other small treats to bake in the oven using one of these, I decided to buy this one and it works perfectly. It seems strong, robust and very easy to use too. I have not tried using it with ice cream but I am sure it would work fine for that too. I have other OXO kitchen tools and they have always been really great so I will remember that next time I go to buy something else and spend the extra money to get something that actually does what it is meant to and not waste money on other cheaper versions.

Really helpful little gadget for consistent cookie size. Consistent size = consistent cooking. Very good product. As you would expect from such a well known company.

Makes two and half to three inch size cookie. Makes even sized cookie so much easier and faster. Definitely a win for me:)

I was so excited when this was delivered. It was comfortable and seemed easy to use. But after only 6 cookie scoops, it came apart. I tried a number of times to see if it would go back together but it just kept slipping and then it completely fell apart. I've already started the return/refund process. The overall features were perfect which is why I gave them the 5-star rating. Overall it gets 1 star because it should last a LOT longer than it did.

This is the first portioner I've used, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm completely satisfied with it. The mechanism is solid and smooth, and the volume is perfect for what I would call normal-sized cookies. Makes getting the dough onto the trays so quick and easy - a pleasure. And the final product looked very professional: almost factory made, the size and shape were so consistent! Very cool.
