I previously got some other brand and they completely covered the light and blocked all air so I tried these out they don’t block all the light but has good air flow does the job keeps the bugs out

Surprisingly these are great
IMO vivosun is a garbage tier company. I would definitely *not* purchase lights or tents from them, but I gave these a try on a recommendation and they are the best product of it's type I have found. Most are way too small or tear easily, etc. These are generously sized and surprisingly sturdy. I was so happy with the 4" ones I received that I ordered the 6". Super unlikely source for a great product, but I'm not complaining :-)Obviously these do not provide "filtration" of anything meaningful. They are a breathable nylon mesh screen with a thicker nylon cloth cinch cuff, not a charcoal filter, and certainly not HEPA. They keep large lightweight objects from being sucked into your ducting but probably not pet hair and certainly not dust. Used for what they are useful for they are great.

Versatile!
I bought these for a very odd purpose: to keep mosquitoes out of my feral/stray cats’ water fountains. Despite washing them weekly, my entire yard was swarming with mosquitoes because they were using the water fountains as breeding grounds (clearly even moving water wasn’t deterring them). I did a test run with some old window screen and hot glue, and when that was successful I started searching for a way to better attach the netting so not only would it stay on securely, but it could be removed easily for cleaning, and cue these things!!! I just cut a little hole in the center for the fountain spout to sit in, and goodbye mosquitoes! The 8” size was perfect for my fountains. I’m so glad I found these!!
