This was a very inexpensive purchase that works well for the hobby wood-turner. Inertial sanders can be tricky to use and have a high learning curve, so don't expect miracles ;)The 1" and 2" pads are nice for switching between small bowls and larger turnings, and being able to use a hard pad or soft pad makes the tool very versatile. The Dura-Gold sandpaper is of good quality; I've used their sandpaper in the past and it cuts well, is easily cleaned, and lasts for a sufficient amount of time.I've not used the tool enough to know how long it will last, but understand that it is intended to be used with very light pressure (like with any sanding, if you are pressing very hard you are not letting the tool do the work). I think it would be easy to replace the bronze bushings if they ever fail, and the other parts could be fixed as well.Overall, I think this inertial sander kit is a great bang for the buck.

Great little tool woks great

Generally it works well. It does loosen up a bit every now and again with heavy pieces turning on the lathe.

The product is as described, ease of use, great for hard to hit spots.

Fit and finish is not perfect. It's just a tad rough in the hands, not as refined as a high end tool. BUT, in use, it does a great job. You have to work with it a bit to get the hang of inertial sanders if you aren't familiar with them. But once you get it, this turns smoothly/quickly and does a great job. It was the cheaper of several offerings on amazon when I bought ... I can't think of what that extra money would have gotten me that I care about ... great tool, great value.

I purchased this for sanding the inside of smaller bowls on the lathe. I found that I ended up not using it that much because it does not work particularly well on smaller bowls. It is just much easier to just hold the sand paper with your hands. Would not purchase again.

It will probably serve me okay since I'm just a hobbyists, but not well finished. The ferrule slips up and down, probably because the handle wasn't kiln dried and it shrunk a little. I think it will work, but I don't like to repair or correct a brand new item out of the box.
