In the old days, I used to use ladies knee-high stockings for skimmer socks. Then some genius figured out that you could make them out of slightly less expensive materials, and make a killing. These are as good as any skimmer socks I’ve seen, and cost less than any I could find on Amazon.I use them in my in-line leaf filter, and they filter out the tiny glass beads and sand from my pool’s surface that would otherwise slip right past my leaf filter and my pump basked filter, and possibly ruin the seals in my pump.I’m a huge fan, and as long as the price remains among the lowest, I’ll be a customer.Hope this helps!

I looooove filter socks! Greatest find in regards to pool-related stuff. They catch all the usual debris as well as thick pollen, dead algae debris, gnats, hair, you name it!Currently opening the pool so rinsing them out daily, but in maintenance mode I rinse/replace maybe 2 or 3 times a week depending on build up. 1 sock can last a month or more but I do get lazy and throw them out more often than cleaning them 😬 If you're a thrower-outer, a 50 pack will last you the summer and maintenance through the winter, then buy another pack when opening the pool back up.I have a skimmer basket as well as an underwater port and I also wrap a sock around the underwater port to help lengthen the life of the in-pump filter system (I have a sand pump I'm using filter balls in).I did recieve a package that seemed to be opened/returned(?) but it looks like all the socks are there and I got them pretty cheap pre-season so I'm not too concerned about that.

We live in South Carolina and the pollen is just on another scale here. My in-ground 30,000 gallon saltwater pool would just be covered in the morning. Put these in my skimmer bucket and it’s like magic. The end of the day they are just full of the super tiny stuff. I consulted my pool company to make sure before I used them and they actually pointed me to here for a better price :) keeps my cartridge filter way way cleaner.

I love these. I only have fresh water so I can't really speak to how they would work in saltwater.I throw whatever is needed inside them like filter media, carbon, or anything like phosphate remover, then put inside sump cup and add a little filter floss and they work fabulously.

The previous filter socks I have used were a much finer weave, retained their shape and the elastic maintained flexibility. These socks are a courser weave and seem to loosen up over time. They seem to hold up after four or five rinse out and reuse but the weave opens up more. Overall they are ok but just not equivalent to what I have used in the past.

Great quanity for price. These are thin and work great does not slow down water flow. We have had a pool for 6 years and finally found the best skimmer socks that work. Others not so much.

These are very easy to place over the skimmer baskets. Our previous ones were hard to fit. I would definitely recommend these.

How can anyone have a pool and not use these. Great value for a year’s worth of a clean pool
