The effect of sewing with two different coloured strands created a much deeper, vibrant, richer colour … I will definitely be buying another design once I’m finished the hydrangea.Good quality and excellent value for money.

I have done a lot of needlepoint in the past but this was the most difficult. The wools are attractive colours but it is very complicated to work out which colour to use for each stitch. There is a chart with numbers and patterns, these are looked up in a table which gives you another number for the colour. Then you have to find this colour on two cards with sample wools on, there are 33 different colours but they are not on the cards in any sensible or numerical order so you have to search through each time. I will finish it but it is very slow work.

Am in the process of sewing this kit . The kit is well supplied with wools and a detailed chart for following the colour blends. I would say this kit is not suitable for a novice , the colour details are quite finely sewn and reference to the chart and colour numbers is essential. The result is great and the finished work unusual and striking.

I love how the yarns were all presented making it easy to identify.

A. Beautiful design with 31 different colours but whoever designed the colour keys ought to be punished!Example: if you see printed ‘blue’ it’s burgundy! If you see a very similar blue (near impossible to distinguish on the printed canvas)- why? It’s olive green, of course! In an intricate design, very different colour yarns are printed in almost identical colours! Get some Panadol if you want to buy this. FAIL!

I shall make it Into a cushion when I finish but that will take some time. The wools provided are very good colours.
