Great trail trainers - but go half a size up!!
These are great really comfortable, love the lace system so much better than normal laces. They are as you would expect from this brand extremely well made and comfortable, used them last weekend in the rain and sleet for outside HIIT training including dragging a heave sled and had really good traction (and dry feet). My only comment is they size small - I am a size 10 / 10.5 occasionally but went for size 11 in these and they are a perfect fit - so go at least half a size up on your normal size. I have weak ankles from sport and found these to be providing solid ankle and arch support. Highly recommended.

Lightweight multi function trainer
This is the third pair i've purchased and even with daily use, i get about 2 years out of a pair until they are retired to painting duty. I'm size 11.5 / 46 and they are very lightweight. i mainly use them for cycling commute (cleats are not good for city work) and they keep my feet nice and snug. Great for outdoor hike, trail run and general gym workout. the lacing system is easy to use and overall comfort is impressive. I have long, narrow feet and find Solomon to be well suited. Not sure if a wider foot would suit but noticed a wide option so check that out if needed. They look stylish and you can get away with them a pub trip easily. Can't fault them TBH. Look out for discount as at full RRP they are at the steep end.

Great for exclusively off-road running but very limited use on tarmac
These are a great pair of trail running shoes if you're going to be exclusively running on soft ground (grass, mud, earth, sand, etc). They are comfortable, sturdy, waterproof, supportive on uneven ground, and will take a battering in their stride (no pun intended!). I have a neutral pronation and these shoes feel good for me over long distances. However, they are clearly designed for digging into soft ground and therefore have a relatively small contact area with hard surfaces due to their stud like tread configuration. The rubber is soft so traction on tarmac is not in itself a problem. However, due to the stud configuration and softness of the rubber, you will get very few miles from them on tarmac surfaces before the studs wear out. So much so that I don't use them when I'm running trails that include any tarmac surface whatsoever, and have bought a pair of Saucony Trail Runners for such purposes. They are awesome for tough mudder / hell runner type events etc, but I wouldn't rely on them as my only trail runner as I suspect I'd need a new pair every 200km or so. Put into context I 'broke them in' with a 6km walk to the pub on the road and saw significant signs of wear to the studs as a result.

Comfortable and sturdy trail running shoes.
These are very good shoes especially for the price range. I use them quite a lot and they can withstand a lot. However, I will say that they are not as durable as some people say. If you use them often especially in bad weather, during which they get covered in mud, over time they will degrade. The last pair lasted me more or less one year and I use them quite often in bad weather and I put them under quite a lot of stress. This is normal, but I think it's worth keeping it in mind. If you plan to use them for some causal running or trekking, they can last for a much longer time.

Excellent trail running shoes.
I am pleased with these running shoes. They are comfortable off road, offer firm grip and the waterproof material makes a real difference during the winter. Important to make clear that these are not comfortable on hard surfaces, but off road, they are perfect.

Best runners I've had so far
Pros: Fit well. Great shoe laces system to get the perfect fit. Comfortable. Great for the trails. Water proof. Great price point. No blisters. Comfortable enough to run all day in.Cons: Could be a bit heavy if your not used to trail running trainers.Honestly these are possibly the best all round trail runner I've worn. They are super comfortable and I don't suffer from blisters in them at all. I've run 100s of miles in them and there still going strong. I've trained and ran a 100km race in them. I highly rate them. They support the arch of the foot well giving them a sense of stability. Grip to the trails well. Bulky enough to give them lasting durability. Conclusion: ultimately a comfortable running shoe. A shoe that's a pleasure to run a long way in. To run all day in. Suitable all year around. Grips well. Durable to handle all terrain. I would highly recommend if your looking to buy a trail running trainer that's priced competitively. If your looking for a super light road running trainer then look elsewhere these are not for you.I would highly recommend and think you will be pushed to find something better at the price point. I picked these up for £80. I will 100% be buying again.
