This is NOT Sam-E. They need to stop selling it because it's not coated. The coating is the only way to actually make sure that it could be Sam-E. I took a few and it was a bust. Buy the name brand Sam-E as Carlyle sells very poor quality supplements.

Love this product! I use it to help me relax and sleep better, works fantastic!

I've never taken Sam-E before & only been on this product for about 4-5 days, so probably too soon to expect any results yet. The tablets are coated and round. The coating makes it so there's no yucky "tablet taste" & also because it's better absorption but I find round pills slightly harder to swallow. Most days I did ok getting my 2 tablets down, however today it took me 3 swallows before I could get one pill down.I've had a bit more energy & one of the days I was a bit hyper (another reviewer mentioned that this could be because of too much SAM-e) however there's no way to know at this point if this can be attributed to this product or if I just happened to have more energy (only time will tell. If my energy keeps up for the long term then it's definitely the product).It did seem a bit pricey at first but after doing some research, it seems that SAM-e just costs more in general. I did find another product where you have to pay more for the bottle but you get 60 servings instead of just 15 servings. So if I decide that SAM-e is improving my life, I may try that one, but wanted to start with this one which is cheaper for the bottle, in case i had a bad reaction to the SAM-e or saw no improvements at all.Love the small bottle size (seriously, why can't more supplements come in smaller bottles?) & that it comes in a glass bottle.SAM-e is supposed to help with a lot of stuff like mood, energy, pain, hot flashes, menopause.Just an FYI that these are recommended to take on an empty stomach.

Bad Description for this product. I haven't even opened the bottle and have discovered that these are 200mg tablets, not 400mg. The "serving size" is TWO tablets.
