Using these on some larger tubs I cut holes in the lids
I do have a couple of the small hydroponic systems and they are fine, but they are also SMALL. I wanted a larger tub that could grow larger plants and with the use of the clay pebbles, my cucumber and very small melon plants are doing well (Tigger is a 1 pound melon - about the size of a softball) and allows me to grow them inside year round with some grow lights. My yard's soil is horrible and while I do have some grow bags outside I don't grow much of MY veggies out there because I live next to woods and when anything begins to ripen, raccoons and other critters steal them. These net pots are sturdy and a good size for many plants.

Good for home use
Very lightweight which is good but I wish they were a little sturdier. The lip where the cup sits down in the hole needs to be larger but it will work as it is. They work good for a home use/home built hydroponics setup but I wouldn’t use them commercially because I don’t believe they will last very long. I ran a commercial hydroponics farm in the past and the ones used there were much sturdier but also more expensive. So for home use I think these are perfect.

Mega value pack
If you're going big on developing a hydroponic grow setup, this is an excellent value pack. While I don't like that the lips are so small, only 2mm wide, the cups are of decent durable quality. The 2 mm lip is barely enough to hold the pot if you drill a 50mm hole, but it does work for flat surfaces. For curve surfaces like a grow tower or sewer pipe NFT, you want a smaller hole to fit. I created holes with a 1.5" PVC pipe as a mold and it fits the net pots snugly. 2" PVC would create a hole that's too large. The pots don't have much volume, so hydroton clay pebbles may be too large. I recommend using perlite or coco coir to stabilize the plant. The pots also aren't very deep, so you want to make sure the flood setups are able to reach the pots.
