A great kit to build and a fantastic tabletop Pinball Machine for the experience!
The media could not be loaded. I got this pinball machine kit for Christmas this past year. I have built both metal and wooden kits before and this one was really appealing to be. Not only was it a nice challenging build, but in the end I have a very functional and fun tabletop pinball machine to play and enjoy! Some reviews say this is hard to build or that instructions are not clear. I found it to be as clear and detailed as required to guide you with mostly pictorial instructions to a very successful completion. The key here is to take your time and be patient at each step. Sand everything and anything that has a rough edge or is part of a moving component. Double check your work as you assemble the electronic components. Use the Wax and coat any part that the instructions tell you to coat.I built this over the course of 2-3 weeks, working in the evenings and taking pictures as I progressed. I may post a few photos in addition to the video of a full round of game play I am posting today. Some people are saying that the trick shots on the ramps and slides are impossible to make. Not true. Just like any full sized pinball machine, it's all in the timing, where the ball is coming from and how much force you exert on the paddle flipper buttons. The ball flippers are a completely mechanical linkage system and very clever in how it was designed. They work so well! You can do things with these manual flippers that you cannot do with electrically fired flippers. You can play with the steel ball and even block the ball from falling into the return chute. There is plenty of lighting affects during game play. The ball launch count is shown by the LED's on the launch ramp, counting down as you play each ball. Ramp "trick" shots earn you 50 or 100 points, depending on the ramp. The three ball bumpers at the upper part of the playing field are truly amazing to see and hear. They use the conductive steel ball as a "contact" to complete a sensing circuit and fire a solenoid under each bumper to eject the ball away from each bumper. The results is just like a full sized pinball machine. The points earned for each ball "bump" starts at 10 points, then grows higher in to point increments after each set of 10 "bumps". So it's 10 points, then 20 points and eventually 30 points per "bump" as play continues. The instructions tell you how all of this works. In the attached video, I had played 2 full games prior to the one shown. I believe I managed to hit every trick shot on all three ramps and run the ball completely around the back hidden pathway behind the bumpers in this game. You will notice the Red LED stars lighting up and animating as points are registered during game play. The increments are 100 points per star, so this is not a very fine granular point keeping system, but it adds to the fun of game play just the same.I would highly recommend this kit to anyone that will take the time to build it carefully and deliberately. Don't get rushed, read the pictorial instructions over again when things don't quite look right. There are plenty of spare parts, screws and wooden components provided with the kit. You should not find yourself lacking anything to complete this build.Enjoy! I sure did.

Love it! But....Tiny parts, requires patience.
Purchase this for son. Everyday we work on it a little bit. There are some very tiny parts which he has knocked off the table several times. It can be a little frustrating to put together but addictive. We're almost done putting it together. Assembly definitely requires patience, clean open space, and a flat surface.

great project kit
Outstanding project kit. A bit challenging, but instructions were clear, presented in logical progression, and easy to follow. Everything works great, although the launch spring is a bit weak. Lots of fun for friends and family.

Great 3-D puzzle for any age!
Roowood makes great puzzles! I gave this to my 45-year old son-in-law! He enjoyed putting it together and I think it works!

Very satisfying build.
Quality. This thing is so amazing to build. The specifications are so tight. Just wow. Amazing. Instructions are solid and easy to follow. This is a long build. But it's a fun build. And the skill level is such that everyone in the family can participate. It's really worth the money, imo. So fun. Like a next level puzzle build with LEGO level satisfaction. See for yourself. Had to flatten the main table from a bit of bowing. If not for that, it's solid 5star. Just flatten that out when you first get it by moistening the constant side and weighing it down for a few days while you build the other stuff. Not a deal breaker, as it is all straight and level now. Such a good product.

Overall Performance and Build Quality
The media could not be loaded. While the set is visually stunning, the audio is extremely frustrating. There's clearly a technical issue, despite everything being connected correctly. After spending 9 hours building it, we were disappointed by its performance. The music constantly resets itself, and there’s an irritating, repetitive sound that plays endlessly. It doesn’t track scores properly, the lights flash randomly, and when the ball hits objects, the corresponding lights often don’t respond. Sometimes, the "loss" sound plays when the ball falls, but other times it doesn’t.We spent the equivalent of watching seven Disney movies building this, so it’s definitely a time commitment. It’s not suitable for young children, as they might find the delicate pieces frustrating, but for older kids or anyone who enjoys puzzles with a lot of detail, the final product is impressive. The instructions are fairly straightforward, and aside from 4 pieces out of nearly 500 that didn’t fit perfectly, the building process was enjoyable. We’re currently finishing the last ramp, but one piece isn’t aligned properly, preventing the ball from rolling smoothly. I’ll check if we have extra parts to fix it; if not, this would be a significant issue. If the problem turns out to be due to our build, I’d gladly give it 5 stars overall. However, if the issue is with the product itself, I’d rate it 3 stars for the mechanical elements and 5 stars for the puzzle quality, the entertainment of building it, and the beauty of the final product. It’s disappointing to have invested so much effort only to discover that, while it has lights, sounds, and music, it doesn’t function properly as a game. Without keeping score or working as intended, it feels like an "engaña bobos"—a flashy gimmick rather than a true game, which is disheartening.---Will update when totally finished and revised on case I find the way to make it work as it is supposed to.
