An underlooked Gem worth twice its price!
I was looking for a step-up from my first guitar, and was specifically looking for a parlour/small size guitar for playing on the sofa and taking out and about. Before buying this, I read dozens of reviews and actually ventured out into the real world to try guitars out. I tried two Art & Lutherie Amis (both the cedar and spruce top models), a Baby Taylor, a Big Baby Taylor, two Taylor GS Minis (spruce top and mahogany top), a Gretsch Jim Dandy, a Little Martin, an Ibanez AC240, a Vintage V300MH, an Alvarez... something (I can't remember the model name!), a Faith Natural Mercury and this Faith Naked Mercury. In the end it was close between this, the Natural version (which has a higher spec finish and binding but is otherwise the same) and the Taylor GS Mini, and I have to say this one was just ahead, not just on sound, but also on build quality and ergonomics. I thought I was going to have to pay nearly twice as much (for the Taylor GS Mini) when I started my hunt (at which point I'd never even heard of Faith - they need to up their exposure!), so it was a real surprise to find this one, designed and sold by a British company (although made with excellent oversight in Indonesia). Such a surprise that it's made me write my first Amazon review! As I said, the guitar has excellent build quality, with no flaws that I can find at all. The finish is a very basic satin (which I love anyway and much prefer over gloss), and is flawless. The frets are beautifully dressed with no sharp edges or burrs anywhere, and the set-up was perfect (I'm not sure who gets the credit for that - Faith or the seller!).Intonation is spot on up the neck, and the sound is gorgeous. It came fitted with D'addario EXP 12-53 (Light Gauge) coated strings, which although nice I found a little muddy for my taste. So I fitted EJ26 Custom Light gauge (11-52), and wow, this thing sings - the sustain is gorgeous, and I spent a good ten minutes just plucking the open high e string just for the pleasure of hearing it ring out! The shorter scale makes fretting a joy, and that combined with the perfect set-up means I've barely put this thing down since I got it!The guitar has good quality closed gear tuners, and a nubone nut and saddle - the only thing I might change is the saddle for a bone one, but that's more aesthetics than anything. Little touches like the rosewood truss rod cover and two fitted strap buttons (there's already one on the treble side of the heel - the unadulterated relief and pleasure of it!) really raise this guitar up.The size is just larger than a 'standard' parlour like the Ami or Jim Dandy, which gives it a little more oomph at the low end. It sounds so nice fingerpicked, and can take quite heavy strumming for a small bodied guitar. All in all I couldn't be happier with my choice, and feel I've got a guitar that could last for years, and that also feels like it should have cost way more. The only reason I went for this one over the Natural model was I'm a sucker for a minimalistic satin guitar, otherwise they were very very close. In short, for an all solid wood, beautifully sounding and perfectly finished guitar I don't think this can be beaten, and it's a real shame that the big US names like Martin, Gibson and Taylor overshadow gems like this. Buy one, you will NOT be disappointed!

Unbelievable value for money👌
After reading through all the great reviews I decided to hit the button and i was not disappointed! The guitar really is as good as everyone is saying it is, everything from the build quality to the playability is just fantastic, I played a set at a friend's wedding and it sounded great throughout and stayed in tune well. Can't recommend this enough and I can't believe the cheap price tag, faith could charge so much more! Very happy😁👌

What's not to like? The guitar needs a set up
I've been playing electric guitar for a few decades, as well as classical, but I'd never had an acoustic before. I was becoming more interested in the idea and read about Faith, which are (partly) hand-made in England. There are more expensive guitars in the range (see Hi Gloss), but I'm sure I am not the only person attracted to the idea of hearing the natural sound of a guitar with a stripped-back top free of any of the potions they normally apply to them. So - a natural top and at least partly hand-made in England. What's not to like? The guitar needs a set up. I was a little surprised to discover this. However after playing a friend's guitar which without mentioning names cost less than £100 from a supermarket chain, but which had had a set-up, the thing was so easy to play, and my Venus doesn't quite have that yet. But, on the other hand, what it does have is a majestic tone. It's loud, resonant yet mellow and I know I'm going to love it more when it plays even better. Haven't had a chance to plug it in yet so can't comment on that sound.

Faith naked neptune
I hesitantly relied on reviews and demos online for this guitar as nothing was remotely close enough to visit for a trial play and as usual, they were all spot on. I have a Godin archtop solid wood, Lag tramontane classical solid wood and this guitar ranks very high in the same build and quality of construction. I can not compare it sound wise to my others as they each serve different styles of music, but in its own right, it is very, very impressive. Some missing spec like nubone saddle and top nut, D'addario XL strings only add to the great value. I have only had it a couple of days and already love everything that comes out of it. You will be inspired to do better on this guitar, it looks, plays and sounds far more expensive than its price tag. Would not hesitate to buy another and highly recommend anyone to buy one.

Unfinished surfaces
The guitar has no protective finish and is extremely prone to dents and scratches from even gentle knocks. It needs to kept in a case.

Unfinished
My parlour developed a hairlinecrack in the back and woods felt dry and vulnerable. I hate the unfinished dry woods on these guitars.

the action is perfect all the way up the neck
I own this guitar. It is simply stunning, sounds warm, the action is perfect all the way up the neck. It's the best guitar I have ever owned. I played various others around the same price and the Faith fkv stood out head and tails above the rest. Go to your local guitar shop and play IT then buy it. You won't be disappointed :-)
